what speaker new or used for 5k?

Congratulation on the Gammas. I have owned the Gammas for about 5 years and it took me a few years to realize that you won't find a better sounding speaker. Every component upgrade has yielded better sound. I now use a 13 watt tube mono block amp and the gammas have bever sounded better. I now spin only vinyl and the gammas are incredible.

Just enjoy them. The speakers are world class.

Dayglow, Jughead already made a great speaker choice.
