What's in your CDP tonight? the minority report

I enjoy vinyl and digital (lately, with recent changes, vinyl actually sounds better than digital to me), BUT given what seems an overall preference for analog/vinyl on A'gon, I'm curious what the non-vinyl "1/2" is listening to. I tried to see if this was a previously posted question. Did not seem so.

This evening for me, it's Genesis (definitive edition remaster) "A Trick of the Tail".

The entire Iris Dement catalog. For those unfamiliar with this astounding songwriter and singer, imagine a Hard Country/Hillbilly/Bluegrass version of the more Country Blues Lucinda Williams. A favorite of Merle Haggard (from whom I learner of Iris), Steve Earle, John Prine (with whom she often performs), Emmylou Harris, Buddy Miller, Gillian Welch, Vince Gill, Jim Lauderdale, Rodney Crowell, Alison Krauss, Marty Stuart, and just about all other Americana/Roots artists.
The Meat Puppets - Too High To Die. Great overlooked Alt-Rock music! Listened to it all the way through (13 tracks).
Chris Stapleton, "Without Your Love"

Chris displays genuine grit. Just sounds amazing on the Totem Forest Signatures! Any C. Stapleton fans in the crowd?

Glad you checked it out, Nutty. Good sonics on that one though the bass can be a challenge to manage. Lots of it. I turned the subs off to listen again today. Last night was headphones for me too. The song writing starts strong but seems to lose its way in the latter third of the recording.

I’ve sampled some Chris Stapleton. Another bud had recommended him too. Just not where my head is at lately but that’s nothing against him.
All over the the instrumental landscape this late afternoon.

Andy Summers - Earth + Sky

Lars Danielsson - Liberetto

Frank Zappa - Waka Jawaka (Big Swifty & WJ, exclusively)
andy2Fantastic track to test your system's Bass response. A 90's classic.
Happy Listening!

Spent time earlier today renewing acquaintance with Steve Smith & Vital Information’s, "Come On In".

Reading up on his discography, found quite a few albums available on Tidal. Greatly enjoyed VITALIVE (live recording from 1989) and, now, Heart of the City (released Sept 2017).

From VITALIVE, Track 2 "Looks Bad, Feels Good"
