What gear is on the horizon?

I have an amazing and incredible satisfying system (my user ID) . My great digital system… with primarily flagship electronics equals in sound quality my really good analog end. Fifty years of pursuing the high end has taught me that… the performance of the flagships are there for a reason. So, I am upgrading my contemporary Linn LP12 turntable arm and carriage to the top of the line.

Why? My experience is there is no end to improvements in how good an audio system can sound.

New cart. Nothing exotic.

 I wouldn't have changed anything except for I DID Change. My hearing that is. As my hearing diminishes, it doesn't seem to be at a linear rate at all frequencies. Odd but true. My ears, I won them.

  I have said all of this to tell you that I am going to class D amplification, and possibly horn speakers. The biggest reason is that class D has punch. Same with the speakers. I am guessing that it may relate to what extra kick is related to this hearing change. 

@4krowme - What horn speakers are you looking at?

 I haven't decided what horns would be in my budget. As of now I am using Mark Audio P12 drivers in a horn loaded (rear) enclosure. While this design has been one of my favorites, it may do good to have at least the midrange driver of a system horn loaded as well. I have a lot to think about.

My AN Dac is in the shop getting a full refurbish after a bridge rectifier failed and took some other components out, so focused on getting that back sometime later this year!

I second willgolf , Lampizator Horizon.  Brand new unit that just arrived in the US.  I've not heard it yet but I own the Golden Atlantic TRP and can only imagine what it might sound like.
