As we are in the modern age of music I thought I would see how this fares. We have threads specific for cdp and tt so why not streaming as it is a modern media. I don't care if you stream Tidal, Deezer, Spotify, Paradise Radio or any number of internet stations. I would like you to share your tastes and method of streaming.
This is a "deluxe" edition with a bunch of demos from Pete. I usually don't care to listen to a bunch of unfinished demo songs on "deluxe" releases, but the demos on this are really interesting and sound great.
Just came in from some social distance fishing with a buddy. Had a bit of dinner and sat down for some listening. I had Radio Paradise playing from earlier today, warming up a pair of speakers I haven't played for about a year. Radio Paradise is killing it tonight. Not sure if I'm listening to the live stream, or not. When I sat down, they were playing Morcheeba and it just kept going in a good direction from there. We're very fortunate to have such a great internet radio station.
@reubent Radio Paradise is great! I cycle through the main mix, mellow mix, and rock mix. Haven't tried the world mix. I don't think it's exactly "live". I was listening in the car yesterday and there is a "dead spot" where I lose reception (streaming from my phone) for a few minutes. When I got reception back, it picked right up on the same song where it had left off.
“When I get to heaven, I'm gonna shake God's hand/ Thank him for more blessings than one man can stand/ Then I'm gonna get a guitar and start a rock 'n' roll band/ Check into a swell hotel; ain't the afterlife grand?/ And then I'm gonna get a cocktail: vodka and ginger ale/ Yeah, I'm gonna smoke a cigarette that's nine miles long/ I'm gonna kiss that pretty girl on the tilt-a-whirl/ 'Cause this old man is goin' to town”
@abucktwoeighty - Thanks for your post about Gare du Nord - "Rendezvous 8:02". I ordered it from ImportCDs eBay store (20% off) and the beautiful blue vinyl copy (number 159/1000) arrived a couple of days ago. Gave it a spin last night and I really like it.
I am streaming John Prine’s most popular songs ( there at least 30) via lossless Quobuz out to my whole house stereo system, RIP John Prine ... a songwriter to so many ......... Thank you, sir . Go meet your mama, papa, and relatives .....
Greg. I bought that remastered album on vinyl as WalMart were selling at crazy price, $18.99 or similar. Anyway the SQ on the record set is every bit as good as the Qobuz version. Highly recommended buy!
