As we are in the modern age of music I thought I would see how this fares. We have threads specific for cdp and tt so why not streaming as it is a modern media. I don't care if you stream Tidal, Deezer, Spotify, Paradise Radio or any number of internet stations. I would like you to share your tastes and method of streaming.
Slade - Alive!, Qobuz. I picked this up on vinyl recently and it sounded "hot", a bit strident in some of the vocals and guitar and wondered if it was a bad pressing (it was NM-) or if it was just recorded that way. I hear it in this remastered version, but not as much. I'm not listening as loud either, this is my near field system so it might be worse if I turned it up. I think the vinyl is going into the bin.
I streamed Christmas music all day yesterday, that was nice. I don't remember all the ones I played, but Christmas albums from Diana Krall, Johnny Cash, the Carpenters, and more.
It's Monday, so I'm streaming my new Spotify Discover Weekly playlist. Not a single winner this week. It's rare that the Spotify algorithm fails to find even one in twenty + songs that I want to tag for future listening.
Rarely listen to classical music, but thought a little would get me out of my rut. Schillers Ode To Joy is ruined for me since Die Hard...which is NOT a Christmas movie.
Too bad Qobuz only has the 3 songs. I’m a Tidal guy and Tidal has the whole album. However the 3 songs on the Tiny Desk Concert are my favorites anyway.
Thanks for the tip Doug. There are only three songs on Qobuz. I was disappointed when it ended. I want to check out the entire album. I'll check out the tiny desk too.
Tuck and Patti bring back fond memories. I just started dating this great woman, and she told me she really liked Tuck and Patti. The next month they performed at the Birchmere in Alexandria, VA and I surprised her with tickets. Must have worked, because we’ve been married almost 25 years.
lovely lovely!!!
tuck and patti’s music are like comfort food for soul - have seen them live many many times locally here, they used to perform at yoshi’s every thanksgiving
such lovely people with such big hearts and positive energy (not to mention the highest level of artistry) in every performance
i have not seen them tour or perform live for a few years now... don’t know if patti may be having some health issues... :(

Soooo good.I am very new to streaming services....and I can' t belive it....!!!! So good!!!! Have not found any service that carries a Japanese 70' s rock group named " Sadistic Mika Band" though......but have found almost every other obscure group I have looked for....
Re: Playlists, check out on Qobuz “Reggae From A To Z: Ska and Rocksteady”. Or the soundtrack to the documentary “Rudeboys”. Then watch Steve McQueens TV show on Netflix, “Small Axe”, set in Notting Hill, London around 1970. Lots of great Ska and Rocksteady to get your groove going.
