Tone of Shindo

Are there any preamps which get the tone correct other than the Shindo

Had Aurieges Line... was bought from Audiogon because of all the huge hype and quickly sold-not transparent enough and with greatly overriped bass. It was great relief returning to real good preamp(DIY  from gold hands of my dear friend).
On a less expensive thought, you should listen to Leben.

Shindo is system based, and generally Shindo preamps and amps match best together than trying to pair with other brands.
If by "correct" you mean "that I like and think is good based on commonsense criteria," then, of course.

If you mean correct in any other sense, I have no idea what you're talking about.

What a question.

@hilde45

one person’s ’correct’ is another person’s ’colored’

yeah, op's leading with chin there...
I understand hearing something that sounds more ‘right’ or ‘correct’ for my music and ears than other things… So let’s maybe start with what it is you're looking for; Something close to the tone of Shindo…

If Leben is close to that, then yes, great sounding unit. I heard the CS600 with Devore Gibbon X and it was wonderful. I dropped in a Vinnie Rossi LIO with DHT and it was just as good and maybe a bit better inca few areas. I now have a Vinnie Rossi L2 preamp (also DHT) and it’s of course ($$) quite a bit better than the LIO… So, DHT’s maybe?
