The peeps don't celebrate New Years as in the olden days of yore. Used to be major celebration day, all the bars full of crazies, recall having to make reservations weeks in advance. And this in time when I was often traveling during holidays, so not just my university city. I actually became bored of it in short order, being around a bunch of drunks, even when drunk myself became aggravating.
Doesn't seem like a lot people very happy to me these days, given up on celebrating optimistic resolutions? Maybe its all the home entertainments we have these days, staying home seems like better idea. Crack down on drunk drivers?
I was on road last night visiting with relatives, dead as a doorbell out there.
