Thiel CS 2.3 radiator replacement
I came across a pair of Thiel CS 2.3s but the radiators are old and foam is deteriorating (still sound amazing though).
Any idea where I can score some replacement radiators?
I've tried google but they were no help.
Also, one tweeter is dented in slightly, it doesn't seem to affect performance but still bothers me. Love to find a replacement for that too.

Hi everyone. I am looking to bring my 2.3s up to date with any updated crossovers, driver surrounds etc. Where is this Coherent Source? Is it a shop that one can drop their speakers off to be upgraded? I would love to bring these speakers that I have owned for 20 yrs to a new level of performance. Thanks for any info you can help me with. Bruce |

@jafant thanks for checking in.. I still love these speakers. They're amazing for their size and wow they weigh a ton. I still have not gotten the foam fixed because it isn't affecting the sound. I had them next to my Tekton Double Impact SE's and they definitely held their own. You could tell they were a well engineered speaker and omg the bass was deep. I did not expect that. Right now, I'm swapping them in between a pair of KEF Reference 5s, Klipschorns and these... Wow what a combo right? But I love this mix. It's going to be hard to part with any of them! But I think the Thiels and the KEFs are the most similar overall, yet a huge difference in price. But wow they're close in so many ways.. |
