TASK FOR VINYL RECORD FANS!

Please name dollar bin records that blow mind

Those few are definitely for me -- share yours if you can!

Jean Luc Ponty technically any his album is a joy and often found in the dollar bin in premium condition
Stayin Alive, Grease and Doctor Zhivago soundtracks
Tom Scott and LA Express -- any album
Michael Franks -- any album, but harder and harder to find in dollar bins or thrift stores
Monteaux/Vienna Philharmonic/Eroica/Beethoven/Victrola/1963 -- just wanted to mention that this isn't a typical dollar bin album that I got in sealed condition at Goodwill store. Unpacking and playing it on the same day was a very great and enjoyable with exceptional quality mastering and recording despite Victrola being budget version of Red Label.

Any Vangelis- Yin and Yang is a good demo LP for cheap. The title track is definitely a show off cut. 

Andreas Vollenweider-Caverna Magica. 2 great artists among the World/New Age genre that seems to be easy pickings at my local shops.
Great music for decompressing and winding down a long day.

Agreed JLP albums also are good finds. Fusion, World and New Age genres  are great for long forgotten music that sounds good too.

Readers Digest Classical are always good finds at thrift stores. Good chance the entire  set is  played. Perfect way to find out which composers "catch your ears."

I haven't seen these tittles in the dollar bin for the past several years except perhaps Outlaws
SRV was in dollar bins in 90's the latest I remember.

Jan Hammer Group - "Oh, Yeah?"

Fantastic jazzy rock fusion record. Often found in the dollar bin. My copy is from an overstock sale at one of my LRSs. 8 for a dollar - 12.5 cents/each. It is NM- in the shrink. Fantastic dollar bin diving find...

Most of my albums were a dollar or less when I bought them in2000. It makes me really glad that I got back into vinyl before the new revival

@sbank I could find David Sylvian in early 2000's, but not in the best shape that I mostly get

@artemus_5 in 2000's I could also find most of them for a buck including Beatles that sell now for 3-figures, but not TODAY for sure.

Pete Carr‘s ‘76 “Not a Word on it” cost $.25 clean no noise promo copy.  
Fleetwood Mac  ‘70 “Then play on” two words…Peter Green cost $.50

Henri Mancini ‘63 “Pink Panther Soundtrack” in free bin.  Shocked of the sound
  quality, really well done and I prefer rock, folk and blues.
