Synergistic New Tesla Line...Any comments?

I just bought Synergistic Research's new Tesla Accelerator speaker cables and Tesla Vortec interconnects from The Cable Company. I have tried many demo cables from The Cable Company over the past year. These were the first to give me that WOW factor I been looking for so long.

Does anyone have these cables and can you please post your impressions and comments? Thanks.

In my opinion you can do better price-wise by going through a dealer. My dealer charged $650 for a T3 and has demo cords for audition.
Ozzy-
I also found that the T-2 works well on my preamp.(I listed my other cord choices 11 days ago on this thread). So far, everything sounds great. Will be replacing VD speaker wires with SR Apex this weekend. Hoping for yet another change for the better....
Tvad,

Relax man. Rhirsch is sincere. He is giving you a compliment. That's the way he is.

Ozzy...

In many cases the T2 has been the cord of choice for preamps, both ss and tube. To preserve dynamics and openess for a preamp (with typically lower current demand than an amplifier) a quicker to saturate T2 vs. a T3 will often fill the bill AND will save you approx. 30% msrp.

Thank you Grant for being our advocate... God bless you!
Which is the power cord favorite to use with a Preamp?

The Cable company is too much hassle waiting for them to get the cables in to try, plus they charge primarily retail when you buy.

Currently, I have a Hologram D on my CD Player and a Apex interconnect from CD to Preamp.

Tvad,

When I purchased the cables from The Cable Company all fees other then shipping were applied towards my purchase. When you purchase your cables that $80.00 will be applied as well. The Cable Company is great to work with, there's no pressure at all... Those guys are first class.

Rydenfan, upon my return from dinner with the family I will answer your question.

Jmo, can you tell me what your thoughts are betwwen Accelerator IC's and Acoustic Reference IC's? I will be demoing myself next week but I would love to know your thoughts.
I test one cable at a time. I started with the interconnects switching all of them from Transparent Cable MusicWave Ultra to Tesla Accelerator & Acoustic Reference interconnects. Right off the back there were major improvements. BTW I was still using my Transparent Cable MusicWave Ultra speaker cable.

I then switched my Transparent Cable MusicWave Ultra speaker cables to Tesla Accelelerator Bi-Wire speaker cable. Upon listening to my entire system setup with the Synergistic Research cables the game was over and I couldn't go back.

The best advice I can give is try them for yourself. What will it cost you a little time? It will be well worth the time spent.

Wow-I've been away from my computer for a few days and this. I do not work for Synergistic Research but I am a big fan-these cables have changed the way I experience music like nothing I have ever heard before. ItÂ’s as simple as that.

Dewatt1,
I fell in love with Tesla cables long before my system went 100% Tesla and made numerous posts (as some have pointed out : ) regarding the benefits of these amazing cables. After going all Tesla my system took a huge leap forward but this does not mean Tesla cables do not work in conjunction with other cables-they do as my posts from all of last year attest. The bottom line is simple, listen to any cable in your system before you make a final decision. Normally that means combining different components and cables from different manufactures and sometimes, as was the case in my system, I felt compelled to go 100% with the same electronics and cables. Is that so unusual?
One of the reasons for my post was my intrigue in the Tesla, but leica_man sounds like if you don't have all Tesla
you can't appreciate them.I don't think that could be the case there are too many positive post. When I added only one Gabriel Rapture I heard it's effect along with the Stealth PGS I have.I have to believe that if I added a Tesla to the mix I would hear it's strengths without having to change out all my speaker wire and ac cords to Synergistics. It does sound like leica_man may be a Tesla retailer and he is definately not doing any justice to Synergistic with some of his comments implying that you have to have all Synergistic to appreciate them. The Tesla is still staying on top of my list along with a few others for a 2nd cable if I'm lucky enough to find a used one in my budget.
Posting this again, Tvad/Grant... the subject of this thread is "... can you please post your impressions and comments? (re.Tesla Accelerators and Tesla Vortec)."

I'm not aware of any initial question regarding posting comments and impressions of the people contributing to this thread. You ask a direct question, so why not direct it to that person via email?

You have no experience with the cables in question, yet you continue to post to this thread... why?
I'm interested as well Leica_man based on 97% of your 65 posts concern Synergistic.

Also you have zero (none) feedback.

Love to hear from you.

I'd like to hear if anyone compared the Gabriel Gold Rapture to the Tesla or with the Tesla.Same for the Tara Labs "The One".I've read the Gabriel Revelation compared favorably in some aspects against and with the Tesla according to member geojap's 6-27-07 post.
Is there any other cable that mates well with the Tesla or do you need an all Tesla set-up.
I have one Rapture in my set-up and am thinking of buying a used Tara, GG Revelation or a used Tesla.
Budget is about $850 right now for another cable max.
Rydenfan, I also suggest you try those cables with a T2 on your preamp as well. See if your dealer can send you one as well to demo. It worth a try.
You are going to hear things that you didn't hear in your system before. Give them a couple of days to really settle in and sit back and relax. Enough said... :O)
I am very excited, my dealer is sending me 2m Accelerator interconnects to try from pre-amp to amp and a 1m pair of both Accelerator and Accoustic Reference to try from source to pre-amp. This should really help me to hear the difference between Acoustic Reference and Accelerator, and which my system prefers. With the exception of one Power Cord, it will also let me experience an all Tesla system for the first time. I will have everything Monday, so it should be a fun week...
I've also tried many different cables over the past year and I found Synergistic Research to be on the forefront.

I just received my order of Synergistic Research, Tesla Accelerator interconnects, Tesla D3 Digital cable, Accelerator Speaker Wire, T1, T2, T3 power cords & Quattro Mk.II Full system. I'm totally pleased with the sound and the difference they made in my system. "AWESOME"

I replaced my Transparent Cable, Ultra interconnects and speakers cables I have no regrets whatsoever. Actually it's like night and day.

I would highly recommend Synergistic Research. Their service and quality is second to none. Ted, Elliott keep up the great work...
Euphoria? Oh I'm waaaay past the honeymoon phase. And I've gone back and compared with the 5 other brands that I have in the "stereo closet". I don't take this kind of purchase lightly and have been very methodical in doing my comparisons over the past several months. And the results have been consistent no matter what system I've heard them in... solid state, tubed based, pc audio or analog, big rooms or small rooms, electro-static or cone speakers, drunk or sober.

Trust me, I ain't no Kool-Aid drinker.
The subject and question that started this thread is "... Does anyone have these cables and can you please post your impressions and comments?"

I too, as many others have also, found going to an all Tesla system yields results beyond the mere sum of the all of the parts (sounds like hype, but it's absolutely true). I've always been a firm believer that the best results can be achieved by mixing and matching cables from more than one manufacturer as necessary and have done so for over ten years.

But now I've ended up with just one brand... and within that brand I can mix and match/tune my system with many choices. And among the many choices one doesn't have to always buy the most expensive model to get the best results. I have never been able to say that about any other brand.

As a dealer I want my speakers and electronics to sound as best they can... and I have now had to rethink what cables I will continue to carry. I am neither a rep nor dealer for the Synergistic Research line of cables. There already is an established dealer in the area where I live. I respect that and Ted Denney is very careful to maintain a professional and knowledgeable dealer base. I will probably end up not carrying any line of cables, but will let the Synergistic cables in my demo system speak for themeselves.

What do I have to gain by posting here? What I gain is the soul satisfaction that maybe I've convinced someone on the fence to audition the Tesla line and discover what the rest of us have found... a line of cables that actually work as advertised... finally. Audio is more than a hobby with me... it's a true passion and sharing what I have discovered when a product like this comes along is a big part of that passion.

hype 1 /hīp/ informal
noun
extravagant or intensive publicity or promotion : she relied on hype and headlines to stoke up interest in her music.
• a deception carried out for the sake of publicity.
verb [ trans. ]
promote or publicize (a product or idea) intensively, often exaggerating its importance or benefits : an industry quick to hype its products.
ORIGIN 1920s (originally in the sense [shortchange, cheat,] or [person who cheats, etc.] )
: of unknown origin.

My take on “hype” here on Audiogon. Yes there is a lot of hype but it's not coming from the honest enthusiasm of music lovers who have discovered Tesla. I do however wonder as to the motives of those who do not own Tesla but feel compelled to cast dispersion on these amazing cables. If you read this thread closely, as well as the scores of other threads and references to Tesla on AG, you find a ground swell of enthusiasm from a wide cross section of music lovers. When a product is this good it continues to grow. Hype on the other hand burns hot and bright then just as suddenly disappears. I don't think Tesla is going away any time soon- sorry if that bothers some and it is this seeming concern expressed by a few that is the real hype in my opinion.
you are not contributing to hype. You have positive results and that's good. Some other people on this thread are hyping things up.
I am confused. Because I am having positive results with some new cables, I am contributing to hype? I would think true users results is the antithesis of hype.
I guess if you like the SR Telsa sound, you will love having all of your AC cables, speaker cables, and interconnects Telsa. I don't think its hype, just fine tuning of the system.
It is fun watching this thread.
The amount of hype this new Line of SR cables is capable of generating is quiet amazing.

Typical for audiphile community, but still very entertaining to follow.

Last night was my first time sitting down to listen to the T3 power cord I installed Monday afternoon on my McCormack DNA-500. Per Joey's suggestion I have left the amp on continuous since then. I also re-inserted my Accelerator speaker cables. All I can say is, WOW! This is the first time my speakers have truly dissapeared. I know that none of these cables are anywhere near broken in, but I am very pleased. So much so I think I "need" a T2 for my Modwright LS 36.5 pre-amp. There is something to be said for the synergy of these cables playing off of one another.

My only drawback is that I have lost a little warmth. I attribute this not to a defficency in the Synergistic cables, but I think the Nordost i was using before was giving me too much midrange. So, I am having to re-adjust a bit. I am also thinking about trying a pair of Acoustic Reference interconnects between my source to pre to see how that plays in with everything else. I would say my Accelerator cables have not much more than 100 hours on them and my T3 only has about a day of being on and 4 hours of run time, so I know there is much, much more to come.
>>>These cables like to play together.<<<

My findings as well-when you go 100% Tesla your system takes a BIG step forward beyond the incremental steps you enjoyed while adding new Tesla cables along the way.
Fplanner2000, I would like to make a follow up comment from my 4/1 post. I recently added a Hologram D to my system in addition I put the T3 back on the power conditioner. Now I'm running all Synergistic power cords. The T3 is NOT too constricting and my system did not lose any clarity, air and high frequency extension and was TOO fast and fatiguing. Just the opposite happened It's the combo of having all Tesla PC's that it seems to all come together. These cables like to play together.
Is there anywhere I can read more information about the new Powercells? I cannot seem to find anything.
Rydenfan, yes the Acoustic Reference will add more warmth. All the cables in the Tesla line are different. Go back and read some the previous posts in this tread for more details.

I found going from Accelerator I/C to Acoustic Reference I/C between CDP and PREAMP will give you the warmth you need. The Acoustic Reference also slows down the pace of the music a bit. So I would not change all the cables to Acoustic Reference. I would combine it with an Accelerator elseware. That is just my opinion.
Has anyone here done any comparisions between the Accelerator and the Acoustic Reference Speaker Cable? I am told that the Acoustic Reference will add more warmth, is that true? Is there anything else?
Fplanner,
I don't think with the Quattro that the difference between a T2 and T3 is cut and dried. In my system the T2 is what I used on my Quattro however were I looking for a more tube like mid range (assuming I had enough cables on my Quattro do draw the necessary current for the T3 to saturate) I might have opted for a T3. It really depends on the balance of your system and what you need to achieve for a final system match.

Perhaps your dealer can send you a T2 along with your T3 for a direct comparison? I find the selection between a few key Tesla power cords near the tail end of the cabling process makes all the difference in an all Tesla system.
Fplanner2000... I had thought the same thing re. using a T3 on my Quattro. Since the T3 I have was fully broken in, I got my answer pretty quickly... it didn't work nearly as well as the T2. The T3 thickened the overall sound of my system and curtailed dynamics a bit. In with the T2 and the openess and speed was back. Of course we're talking by degrees here, but I'm finding that with Tesla cables you get your answer to whether it's a good fit or not within a very short period of time.

The theory here is (pertaining to the Quattro) that the T2, with fewer conductors than the T3, saturates faster... and apparently this is a good thing for the Quattro. The same reason probably why the T2 (as opposed to the T3) can be better on many preamps.
My dealer suggested a T-3 on the Quattro - just got it - will be putting it into my system this weekend if I get a chance. The more power is better theory seems to be further refined by the Enigma, I'm guessing.
The Quattro with a T2 driving it seems to have a blacker background with enhanced bass.

There is only one unit as you suggested; the difference is in the cables.
Leica_man,Joeyboy and anyone else who has the Quattro-tell me how it has improved your system sonically over the MPCs-

Am I correct that there is only one unit and the difference between powering 7 cables and 12 is the configuration of the connectors?
Thanks-I'm almost together on an all Tesla system

Great posting and great info Thanks to you ALL
Hasse,
The difference between T2 and T3, and their sound, depends on the amount of current you pass through each cord. On high current demand components like power amplifiers, the T3 has more body and weight, especially in the lower registers and mid range, when directly compared to T2 in the same application. When I compared T2 to T3 on low current demand components like my pre amp, the T2 was more forgiving while the T3 was higher resolution with more detail and slightly more air especially in the upper registers. In medium current demand applications like CD players it's a toss up between the two-one will make music it just depends on the overall balance of your system and other cables in your system.

I find the T3 to be wonderfully rich and layered-especially in the mid range with a tube like quality when used on components that draw lots of current. While on my pre amp I found the T2 to have a special synergy with just the right amount of detail and texture and holographic sound staging. As good as the T3 was on my amp and CD player, I much preferred the Holograms but these power cords are at the top of the power cord food chain in performance and price. If I were not willing to spend this kind of money I would have been very happy with a full T2 / T3 system as both easily outperformed my prior and much more expensive power cords.
Leica_man, thank you for the advice. I will certainly do the 96 hour test, or as close as I can make it :)
I am glad to hear of your positive experiences. I am going to start with the T3 and hope to eventually be able to move to a Hologram. I am so impressed with what Synergistic has achieved with the Tesla series.
Hey Joey,
Not trying to diss your power conditioner-everyone is entitled to their opinion. It's just that whenever I've tried the PS Audio products it's always been fatiguing to my ear compared to the direct wall connection-every single time.

I have two dedicated circuits with two duplexes each and a common true earth ground. That said I too am looking forward to the new PowerCell-if it works it will be the first line conditioner I've ever found to improve and not mask or "HI-FI" the sound of my system. For the record I've tried just about ever line conditioner there is from a design stand point and so far I don't like any of them but for different reasons.
Leica_man, what power conditioner do you use? Or do you have enough dedicated outlets to plug all your PC's into?

Since I'm unable to run a dedicated line, I use the PS Audio Power Plant Premier. This assures I get continuous 120 volts. Therefore, my system does not degrade at certain times of the day. Also, I dont find it fatiguing. The T3 just did not work well on it. But the Synergistic Precision AC was much better on the PPP. The lost of clarity, air and high frequency extension disappeared when I switched the cables.

I may look into the Synergistic Powercell when more information is available.
