Swiss Digital FUSE BOX Question Thread

Good Day

Over the last several weeks I have been receiving questions daily about the Swiss Digital Fuse Box

I have asked permission to post this thread.

Questions, needs, comments etc. – feel free to post here

I’m hopeful that by starting this thread those interested can get their questions answered.

Thanks – Mark

antigrunge2,

To the contrary, I noticed much more "muscle" (dynamics) with the SFB compared to using the SR Pink fuses.

I do think that the SFB works its magic best with amps. Afterall it is replacing a hair-like wire in a fuse with a much larger diameter slug.

I'm trying so hard to not address this thread too much and to just allow the opinions both positive and negative to flow for lack of a better word organically

Ozzy is correct I generally ask that people start with their amplifiers first. The results are usually remarkable to most that have written me

Fuse boxes now being sold very successfully all over the world and recently there are some marvelous reviews in Mandarin that have been posted in Taiwan that are just extraordinary

We're very proud of fuse box and fuse box Max and it's true we do have other things coming that will really I think impress our customer base

I really appreciate all of the opinions here and again trying very hard to not get in the way

Happy holidays to all

Best wishes

@ozzy

Agreed, what I was trying to get at is that there seems to be a very slight volume loss comparing an inserted box to a sluggo only setting. That said the benefits compared to fuses are uncontesteable

I purchased two Swiss boxes replacing Purple and Master SR fuses. They are now pretty broken in and I love them! I have a Graphene Sluggo on my Int amp and pure copper Sluggos on my field coil power supply. The copper Sluggos are definitely directional. I have not found the Graphene Sluggos to be directional in my amplifier.

The SR fuses are wonderful, but the Swiss box does not editorialize or color the sound in any way. All SR fuses have a sound and personality if you will. Using them I was forced to find the recipe or combo of fuse colors needed for my system and tastes. None of the recipe tailoring is needed with the Swiss box.

All aspects of sound quality have improved with no part of the frequency spectrum highlighted. As others have said, music has a greater sense of ease and is naturally and rightly balanced. The Swiss box improves dynamics, realism, resolution, stage size and just puts a smile on your face.

antigrunge2,

If I understand you correctly, you are saying with just the slug installed there is more volume than when you also connect up the SDFB. Interesting.

Since my amps take 20A fuses I installed the SDFB Max that outputs 20A. Perhaps that is what you may need (if the difference is significant).
