"Super Rectifier"

I acquired a Line Magnetic 519IA amplifier a few years back.  Lovely amp paired with my Tyler Acoustics PD 80 speakers, but I've often craved a bit more kick, a smidgeon more excitement.  After changing out the original tubes with the exception of the 5ar4 rectifier, I hit upon the Philips 5R4GYS from Upscale Audio touted by dozens of purchasers at the site.  What a difference!  The amp is quieter, more extended at the frequency extremes, and hits harder -- just what I was looking for.

Recently, I noticed a plug-in "Super-Rectifier" offered by Space Tech Labs.  Does anyone have any experience with this?  Seeing the difference substituting the original rectifier made, is it possible to up the ante even more with this product?

I use the same tube in the power supply for my Modwright Truth Marantz SA8500   player. It made a world of difference.
I replaced the stock Sovtek 5AR4 with a Cryoset Gold Lion GZ34.  The sound improved as hardness to the mods and treble disappeared.  Cryo'd G-L's have a very balanced sound and stay quiet a long time!  I use their 12AU7s in my line stage.
You’re already using one of the premium, available rectifiers out there. Once upon a time I tried a solid state replacement, for the 5AR4 in a wonderful sounding(modded) ST-70. Couldn’t remove it fast enough. That wasn’t one of the Super-Rectifiers though. You’ll only find out(for certain), if you try it.
Another choice would be the Sophia Agua 274B.  Some have found this to be the "best" tube in the Modwright power supply.  I may try this one myself.
rodman99999 - you're right, of course.  In all things audio, it seems one can only find out for certain by trying. But I find the sound of the Philips 5R4GYS so satisfying I'm not terribly motivated to bother.
Little over 3 years ago I called Upscale Audio for his opinion on a rectifier tube replacement for my Allnic H1500 phonostage, after the guy said he didn't give opinions and how much he hated Allnic but continued on giving opinions about everything except what I called about, in spite of him I purchased a Phillips/Holland 5R4GYS that I heard great things about from their own customer feedback and have been more than pleased with it's performance, so much so I sourced another one to back it up. As far as the SRT you mentioned I have always been drawn to tube rectification in direct comparison to the other.
I originally thought you were referring to some sort of solid state rectifier.  But having checked out the net, wanted to ask if this is the "Super Rectifier" you are referring to?  Interesting  http://tmraudio.com/components/power-products/space-tech-lab-str-104-mk2-super-tube-rectifier/

I own and have tried all of the tubes mentioned except the Space Tech Labs and the Sophia Electric Aqua 274B blows them all away; this tube sounds like a Dac upgrade...

We need to consider the application for the rectifier.  A power amplifier will obviously presents a FAR different load than a DAC.

Aside from that, the 5U4G / 274B is directly heated, with far more voltage drop than the indirectly heated 5AR4.  The former have a more romantic, lush, and much looser sound, the 5AR4 has a much tighter, more focused presentation.  The performance of these tubes really differ in a yin and yang sort of way
@ treja

So true; mine was in a tube power supply for my ModWright Marantz SA8005 Tube CD Player.

If I eat Bhut Jolokia chillies I get a Super Rectumfire. Is that the same thing?
Heck, you've come closer to addressing my question than most of the others.  (Come to think of it, rectifier does sound vaguely anatomical, and not necessarily in a good way).
Will the rectifier tube upgrade in a preamp have as much affect in sound quality?
In my integrated (Line Magnetic 519IA) replacing the stock 5ar4 rectifier has had, by far, the most beneficial effect - not the output, driver, or the signal tubes.
@theophile - Ghosts are great, but- If you crave Radical Rectumfire, try a Reaper!
@kalali- Yes, it probably will. Most gain devices can be described as a valve or switch, that’s(basically) turned on and off by it's input signal, and modulates the voltage and/or current from the power supply, as it’s output to the next stage(or speakers). You’re listening to your power supply. That’s why improving/tweaking/smoothing a component’s power supply can yield such clearly audible benefits(usually).
