Soundfile Thread

Unfortunately it is not possible to upload pics ...but how about a sound file thread?
Uploading sound video from your cartridge, Arm or a record you like?
It will make it a bit alive and others can find some new ideas about hardware or records or ....

Oh my. Would you buy a $1-2-3-4k cartridge based on a sound file you heard through your computer speakers or smartphone? Of course not. IMO soundfiles are a waste of time because you aren't hearing the component. You are hearing your computer's speakers driven by a poor amp.
The swiss knife is YouTube of course they do not even publish sample rates. Silly to rely on them for ANY SQ.
I think in such thread even mpeg sound file uploaded on youtube from digital source is better (more impressive) than recording with a mic made in your room. There is only one guy to my knowledge who can record properly with a mic during his speakers demo, that guy is Ken from Kenrick sound (his mic alone is $20k).

Here is my type of music.

I think, no one expects high quality playback …it’s just fun … isn’t it?
Michael Fremer started doing this decades ago. Immediately people found they really could get a good relative sense of the way different high end cartridges sound. This was if I am not mistaken back before YouTube even was "a thing". Since then all kinds of people have used YT for this. I myself listened to Koetsu and Herron on YT before buying, and later Moab. To give but a few examples from personal experience.

The question never has been anything to do with the format, or the resolution, or how it was recorded, or any of the unlimited number of other irrelevant comments people will make. It always has been about the ability of the listener to discern and evaluate. Always has been. Always will be.

Everyone knows this. Right?

Oh, and it is possible to upload pics. Just have to do it on your system page.
@syntax , you have a mosquito hanging on to your thread. WEEEEE,
nice ride!

I suppose if your computer is hooked up to your system you can get a sense of how it might sound in your system. Fremer uses Channel D's Pure Vinyl program to digitize his turntable and it provides an accurate presentation. It will create files in 192/24 or 96/24. I do not know if YouTube allows you to download at that resolution. A YouTuber will have to tell us. If it only allows an MP3 file then forget it.
@chakster , Ramsey Lewis?? He was my father's favorite. I must have inherited 5 or 6 of his albums. I can see my dad dancing when I play them.
Yeah, great! @mijostyn
His Japanese pressings are amazing sonically, I think I bought over 5 different albums, all from his 70s period (quite different from his 60s stuff). Another example here.
