Should i replace my MC255 macintosh 5 channel amp?

Seems a very nice amp only used for center and mains as part of stereo and ht. Maybe its ok, but hard to find much enthusiasm for this amp and other mac amps.
Have b&w 802 d3 speakers, lumin x1 dac/streamer, schiit freya preamp, nucleus and a NAD M17 v2i processor. Mc255 amp connects to mains and center with transparent super cables and xlrs for all the interconnects. A simple clean system.

"...Why?..." (Parasound A51)

Because it's a lively amp that would work well with your existing system based on my listening experience of your gear. Not so sure about your preamp but I would try the amp first. You'll get good money for your Mac gear, you might even put some money in your pocket.
They get along fine. Older music from 70s is really good, use optical.
searching for a nice tube preamp. A important purchase.

so nice chattin.

You are using a inexpensive preamp with a expensive Mac amp. What do you expect?
“Maybe its ok, but hard to find much enthusiasm for this amp and other mac amps.”
Well Richard /Jumia / OP, your 2nd sentence says it all. As with all of your other threads, you’re fishing and trying to create unnecessary tension. Why don’t you post that second sentence in the McIntosh forum on Aficionado and see what happens?
