Fin da quando furono progettati i primi diffusori C.V., il loro padre, ingegnere della Nasa (Gene Czerwinsky inventore nel 1957 degli amplificatori a stato solido) cercava un ascolto emozionale aprendo l'ascolto musicale a nuovi orizzonti, fino a quando nell' anno 1964 creó un woofer da 18 pollici capace di una (altissima) pressione sonora pari a 130 db (difficilmente raggiungibili ancora oggi),con frequenze ultra basse impensabili a quei tempi.
Fino ad allora l'amplificazione sonora era affidata alle valvole che benché avessero una risposta lineare erogavano un numero di watt così esiguo, che si potevano contare sulle dita di una mano.
Fatta questa premessa volta ad indicare il padre della rivoluzione dell'ascolto musicale, come degli effetti home theater,(Czerwinsky con i suoi SubWoofer fu il primo negli anni 60 a riprodurre un esplosione durante la proiezione di un film, facendo tremare la sala di quel tanto che bastò a fare scappare gli spettatori impauriti), affermo che quando ci si trova dinanzi a quel bordo rosso tipico delle C.V. bisogna avere rispetto.
Fermo restando che non esiste un diffusore capace di riprodurre al meglio ogni genere sonoro, queste casse prediligono il rock il jazz il blues.
Emettendo il suono tipico delle casse americane, regalando emozioni con l'asprezza tipica di un medio alto da
Concerto live e la presenza caratterizzata dal punch di un ascolto che seppur gradevole all'orecchio coinvolge gli organi interni; la pancia il torace. Questo diffusore lascia il segno , genera invidia, difatti, dando la paga a diffusori costosissimi, crea lo sconcerto in chi pur spendendo molto in altri rinomati marchi, non é riuscito nemmeno ad avvicinarsi a tale esperienza di ascolto.
Non solo dall' ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo questi diffusori vanno oltre, badando alla sostanza dei driver che contengono.
Queste casse, provengono direttamente dalla mitica serie R e dalle inequiparabili Cerwin Vega D9 (capaci di una sensibilità da record con un solo watt ad un metro fanno misurare una pressione sonora di 103,5 db, chi altri ci riesce?), dalla più recente serie AT, che non solo hanno poco da invidiare sulle qualità audio a marchi ben più costosi e blasonati, ma sono nettamente superiori a qualsiasi altro diffusore che voglia competere con loro sulla tenuta in potenza , sul dettaglio dei bassi, sulle pressioni sonore di impatto, in una parola, sulle EMOZIONI.Esse sono uniche quando si tratta di riprodurre il suono di una chitarra elettrica, dando l'impressione che l assolo di quest'ultima sia suonato dinanzi all'ascoltatore.
Nonostante l'ottima sensibilità dei diffusori, si consiglia di accoppiarli ad un amplificazione con caratteristiche di alta corrente in uscita (amplificatori ad alimentazioni toroidali) per sfruttarne al meglio tutte le potenzialità.
Sul web é pieno di persone pronte a screditare queste casse, ma secondo la mia personale esperienza sono veramente in tanti quelli che ne parlano male senza averle mai ascoltate perché non costando molto e generando bassi da prime della classe, vengono accostate a cassoni da esterno (casse da giostrai)......NIENTE DI PIU' FALSO .....infatti presi i critici che solo con le teorie screditavano questi diffusori, messi dinanzi alla realtà proponendo loro un ascolto, al primo assolo di chitarra che gli increspa la pelle con un piacevole brivido, cambiano idea .
Chi ha ascoltato le mie C.V., nonostante la maggior parte di quest'ultimi possano definirsi Audiofili da anni, con centinaia di apparecchi posseduti e o avuti in prova, sono rimasti piacevolmente colpiti dalla musica che sanno riprodurre.....quanto basta per mettersi alla frenetica ricerca delle loro prime Cerwin Vega scegliendo tra i modelli vintage precedentemente descritti,(veri capolavori) ed i modelli di ultima generazione altrettanto validi.

Sounds like the Sanders pre is not a good fit in your system for what you want . You want bass ? Try a Bryston pre . Killer bass , Great soundstage . Immediacy - musicians in your room sound . |
Ok, had a friend bring over some NWA , technotronic, ice-t, and other bass heavy stuff on cd.
There me was an improvement in the bass dept as expected playing rap, techno. When I play regular rock, bass disappears, could it just be the recording, and the preamp is very revealing/neutral to the source material???????????? I'm so boggled still why this heavy hitter pre is so weak on the bass dept. everything else is great!
Ac/dc ball breaker does have a little tighter bass than other cd's, maybe it's just the recording? I have bass, but can't hear it that much from my couch about 8-9 feet away, whereas with onkyo preamp, I can get the China to jingle/clang on the shelves, and the window hanging stuff to rattle. With t he sanders, I only had some window shaking with the rap(which is good) but nothing else. I don't know if I should send It back for a look-see by the man who makes them, or live with it. I was recommended the Conrad Johnson et3, or the matching pre (McCormack ld-2).

Can I wrap some foil/elec tape on the cables where they touch?
It is not possible to have them not touch. This wouldn't add bass to my dilemma. I would hate to return the sanders pre! |
Hi arcticdeth, Before you spend any more money, get your cables separated with as little contact between them as possible. Having them bunched up behind the tv is asking for problems. |
I would never compare d9's to sanders as far as speakers. Hahahah
jo compare. D9 are rock speakers. Sanders way out of the league in comparison.

I had the sanders preamp (still have it here but moved up to a $20,000 Jeff Rowland). The innersound is black as ink and quiet as a tomb. It has bass and dynamics and resolution and just gets out of the way. You need to spend a few dollars on good cables (they will not tangle). I also had the Cerwin Vega D9's and Sanders 10D's are not even on the same planet. And I loved my D9s. |
Ok, I have some minor good news, that damn static I was getting from my tweeters is fracking gone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I replaced my audioquest Quartz with audioquest XLR’s and mother fuc*** the static vanished! I’m so happy, now, I have to deal with the volume, I’ll report back shortly, lil guy sawing logs, can’t throttle the amps just yet, I’ll let you all know as soon as I can test the bass response, it does seem to be better, but could be placebo with XLR cables installed.
Why hey would xlr's cause that static to disappear????? And be present with rca interconnects? |
This is what I have. New furman power strip ac cond/surge, only for other components, amps plugged into wall. McCormack dna750's, sanders preamp. Audioquest Quartz 1m from preamp to amp. Using toshiba sd4000 as CD player, with audioquest turquoise.
Pair of energy rc-70's hooked up with real 8 awg wire via fake nakamichi locking bananas, same as all the other nak bananas out there, only a 10mm hole to put the thick 8 awg wire.
Also tried ipod, bass is very null, it's there, but it is lost in the music, the treble/mids are very in front of everything with cd and iPod
could the pre be this thin? As. Mentioned wi th my onkyo p-308 from 1989 I have great bass. I replace with sanders, and the bass is weak. |
No lack of bass with my Innersound iControl Pre. The bass is deep, tight, fast and the timber is spot on! Keep trying to figure out your problem. I would suggest a dedicated line. Make sure you do not have any major appliances on that line or florescent lights.

I think i figured it. Shi$$y cables gave radio station int. Pioneer dv48 light static. Still static. Will continue to pull components/cables tkl infigue this out. Driving me nuts

Swapped new sanders, took out old onkyo. Now there's radio stations and constant tapping noise from tweeters, wtf is going on in this house ??? Anyone have any thoughts to this noise I'm g eating? I'm out of my mind, unplugged every damn thing 100 times, no static, I plug in preamps, and I get machine gun snare drum, constant, and now I can hear radio stations from tweeters |
I have nothing but good things mentioned on all Rogers gear.
After I get t he preamp, I'm starting a fund for his speakers.
I wonder if they will hit as hard as my old cerwin vega d9's ?
i am praying the old onkyo is the cause of the tweeter static/crackling I get, and when I plug in the sanders pre, I will not hear the crackling. Everyone please pray to the metal gods I don't have the static. |

I have the iPre from Roger Sanders (Innersound) since 2011. It is phenomenal. Dead quite, Fast, Transparent, Timber and Tone is spot on. Simply, Straight wire with gain.

The Sanders preamp should be head and shoulders above the two other preamps you’ve listed.
