Record Store Day---Drop 1 (2020)

Did anyone attend any RSD events today?  Even with the Covid19 lurking around, most still had a great time, more reserved than the past, but hey, RSD actually happened!

I know some of you don't like RSD, but for me, it's become kind of a ritual.

My take:

David Bowie-ChangesNowBowie (LP)
Canned Heat/John Lee Hooker-Hooker 'N Heat (LP)
Gary Clark Jr.-Pearl Cadillac (10")
Golden Earring-Radar Love (Yellow vinyl, 7")
Elton John-Elton John (2LP)
k.d.lang & The Reclines-Angel With A Lariat (Red vinyl LP)
Paul McCartney-Paul McCartney (LP)
Roxy Music-Roxy Music (The Steven Wilson Stereo Mix) (LP)
Tom Tom Club-Genius Of Live (LP)

Pretty decent haul.  I also had already purchased the new, cool, little clear 3" turntable that came out a couple of weeks ago as part of RSD.  Plus the (4) Post Malone 3" vinyl singles.

HAPPY RSD FIRST DROP 2020 DAY!!!

Picked up Blood Flowers by The Cure and donated 800 dollars to President Trumps re election effort.
Imagine a klan capitalist record store, hundreds of white hot stampers of great White Buffalo by Ted our Bonespurs cadet draft dodger....

Easy Street been there done that

If you are going to go all apolitical on us at least get on the right side of reality please.......
Wow, that's a bummer that Easy Street street shut down their website so that you couldn't buy any Record Store Day titles there. Oh wait, they didn't.
MFM - would love to hear your thoughts on the Steven Wilson remaster of Roxy Music
There's so much I'd love to say in response to the last post but I"ll hold my tongue (fingertip).
Once again did not even know it was record store day. Here in the Utopia of the NW aka The People’s Republic of Seattle we allow only three people at a time in our record stores. Which means by appointment. Who knew that in the Marxist Utopia reservations and permission would be required just to shop for a record? So after trying several times to visit Easy Street Records that is literally a 2 minute walk from work, that I could go literally every day,  I can’t go at all without an appointment, instead I go on-line and so now Tom Port has shipped me a wonderful White Hot Stamper of Tchaikovsky’s 1812.

Just one record. But costs as much as ten. And had to be shipped all the way across the continent. What’s the CO2 footprint on that, Jay? (That would be our incompetent governor Jay Inslee, the one who closed down the entire state of Washington for the flu.)

Sorry mofimadness I know you just want to enjoy your records but this is the reality here in Seattle. There is no record store day.
I did my buying online.  I was able to get Roxy Music and Fight at one of my local record stores, and Judas Priest British Steel at my local record store.  I had to resort to ebay and a not so local record store to get the Kink Kronicles.  It was sold out locally.
I went to my local record store for RSD and picked up the last copy they had of Hawkwind Quark LP. Didn't think they were releasing the McCartney Lp till much later...in their second phase?
