Looks like you've done both the right thing.
I assume it was one of those modern "smart" amps that you always have to keep upgrading firmware
I void smart technologies in the vehicles and other electronics.
Positive customer service experience
I would just like to do a shout out for a very good customer service experience I had with an on line audio company called The Music Room.
I recently purchased a high end amplifier from The Music Room (I do not wish to name the manufacturer). After approximately one month of service I experienced some distortion coming from one channel only. I did all of the equipment trouble shooting and identified that it was coming from the amp. I contacted The Music Room and after sending them a video they coordinated a return for the amplifier.
They diligently tried to recreate the issue at their premises and could not duplicate the exact issue I was having. They identified a few possible circuit issues and was prepared to ship the amplifier back to me.
I lost confidence with this particular amp and was fearful that the problem would show up again sometime in the near future when out of the short term warranty and as a result requested that the purchase be nullified.
They were very accommodating and did keep the amplifier and returned my payment in full.
It is a pleasure doing business with a company truly interested in customer service.
