PCM and DSD and MQA server

I graduated college when a PC was a Commodore 64. The first IBM PCs were a few years off from mainstream. The thought of having to use a computer in my two-channel audio system makes my butt clench, and my forehead sweat profusely.

For the past 30+ years, I've been all digital. Spinning discs.

I purchased a Berkeley Audio Reference 3 DAC strictly for CD replay. It's the best I've heard in that regard. From what I understand, this DAC is capable of 24/192 PCM and is MQA compatible.

I have also purchased a T+A PDP 3000 HV SACD player for SACD playback. From what I understand, the DACs in the T+A are capable of 24/384 PCM and DSD512.

Is there a User Friendly digital server, streamer, whatever, available that I could download both high res PCM and DSD files to, and feed Both of these DACs? Something that is easy to use, and doesn't require a computer science degree?

Well, sorry to tell you but all streamers are computers of some sort. They all just hide it.

I have to say that the only reason I'd spend any money on them really is the user interface/usability. Spend money on whatever you find easier to use, and gives you the best access to Internet radio.

You should definitely try them yourself if you can, make sure they are compatible with your phone/tablet ecosystem (i.e. iPhone or Android).

Currently I use a raspberry Pi 4 as my music player with Logitech Media Server, and can output 384/24 as well as 4x DSD (maybe more but my DAC stops there) but other options with Daphile or Volumio are available.

Yes there are plenty of easy to use streamers, servers  and combos available.  Qobuz (hi-rez no MQA) and Tidal (MQA) offer free one month trials. You might want to check them out first to see if you need MQA decoding and rendering first.

Your gear is above my experience level but here is a thread that talks about some lower cost servers and streamers that may or may not be all you need.   Some of the brands mentioned have higher cost models.
