Nucleus vs Nucleus plus - sonic diff?

Was recently told nucleus plus sounds better because nucleus is only pcm vs plus version being full resolution.

The Nucleus+ has more compute power for handling a very large library, more simultaneously-playing zones, and/or complex DSP functions such as convolutions.
