Well, 17 years later (after giving up here), I have a local group that meets every month or two for listening sessions.
From Charleston to Rock Hill to Spartanburg to Concord. It happens.
I'll try once again to see if there is any spark of interest. With that said, I have no CLUE what the 'Gon's policies are anymore with private messaging or getting a GTG/group to actually plan things but I figured that I would chime in and give it a shot.
We'll see.

My wife and I live in the DC/Baltimore area and last November were blessed with the arrival of our first grandchild, who lives in Asheville. We've been scoping out the Asheville/Hendersonville area as a possible area to purchase that "retirement home", and one of the "gotta haves" with that home purchase is a "bonus room" for my man cave.
I don't see any clubs or audio dealers for that matter in Western NC. Anyone know of either out in the Blue Ridge Mountains? |

Just got back from the Capital Audiofest show a few days ago. It was worth the effort getting there. If you don’t mind driving here again I would very much enjoy having a group here for music and refreshments. We should plan for a gathering after Thanksgiving. Thoughts? |

This message is mainly directed at you. I remember reading in your posts that you’re in Fort Worth, SC. Well, that’s not far from @analysis , who, BTW, kind of started this idea of like-minded audiophiles getting together every now and then. I’ve kind of been put in the position of keeping this all together and trying to recrute others. @analysis lives very close to you. I’m in Greensboro, @raindance is in Cary. I believe that if the motivation is strong enough we may make (Super-team) of like-minded individuals from varying backgrounds that would be compatible with one-another.

Hi Slaw, Meeting monthly might be difficult for many. Informal gatherings may work. Maybe anyone who is interested can through out a few dates and I will be happy to have a gathering here. Are weekends, weekdays, evenings or days best? BTW, I'm close to the airport. I'll start: March 26th ~ 31st., April 4th ~ 7th. |
