NJ Audio Society?

I have written to the email addresses published each issue in Stereophile magazine, yet receive no response. Can someone tell me what's up with this organization?

Thanks,

We will be hosting an event for the NJ Audio Society in our Listening Room in Northern NJ next month.  I am working on dates and times now.  PM me to get on the list or if you want to come to the listening room by yourself or with a few friends.
I will be hosting the NJ Audio Society shortly in our Listening Room in Boonton NJ.  PM me and I will host an evening or weekend for anyone interested.  I am also having a few speaker manufacturers send speakers for our listening pleasure.

The New Jersey Audio Society is back with live meetings!  Please see our web site for details...

I am opening up a listening room in northern NJ soon.  I will be sending invites to the NJ Audio Society shortly.  Anyone and all are invited but I do need to get everyone of the invite list to control the amount of people.  We will be having multiple dates so that everyone can attend a listening session.

PM me if you want to get on the invite list early.

Like many other audio clubs, we have been unable to hold in-person meetings due to the shutdown restrictions in NJ.  Our meetings have been on Zoom with a variety of interesting speakers (the people-kind, not the transducer-kind).  Please visit www.NJAudioSociety.org for more details.
About 1/4 to 1/3 of the NJAS meetings are in South Jersey.  In October, the meeting is in Delaware.  Please see www.njaudiosociety.com for details.
Is anybody in SJ still getting together? A bunch of us from AudioKarma had a get together in Cherry Hill this past spring and it was a great success. There were several systems setup, a flea market area and a chance to meet folks and make lasting friendships.
We are trying to plan another one for the fall. Probably in October. If there is interest I will post back.

I was a member but let my membership lapse since I'm always on the go with a young family and multiple businesses.
Good group of men who enjoy and share music and insights.
I look forward to participating when my schedule allows.
Warmest regards, Thomas Foti.

Check our web site for information on our next monthly meeting.  Our March meeting will be on Sunday, March 18th, at Rogers High Fidelity in Warwick, NY.  As always, you can try us out by dropping in at one of our meetings with no obligation to join.

Thanks, Chris.  It was a great meeting.  Seeing his hand-built CNC machine (!!!) was a real treat.  Great music, great sound, and great hosts.  And, if you are not yet a member, feel free to check us out at a future meeting.  Our calendar is at www.njaudiosociety.com
@bondmanp - Hope it goes well at Brian's tomorrow! I have know him for 12 years and I'm listening to a pair of Maestro's as I right this from my S. Jersey home. Y'all are in for a real treat!

Check out www.njaudiosociety.com, that will give you the information you need. You're a bit south of most of our members, though we do have people coming from PA and Delaware to our meetings on a regular basis. You should also check out the Philadelphia society, they're close to you (you live very close to Audiogon member Slipknot); check either with him or A-gon member Trelja about that fine group.
Check out the Capital Audiofest 2011 updates. Hope to see you there. www.capitalaudiofest.com
The New Jersey Audio Society is pleased to announce its October meeting!

The theme is DIY electronics.

We will be welcoming Mr. Bob Cordell, who will introduce his new book on Class-D amplifier design.

Our host, Jack Walton, will be bringing his system to provide music, so please bring anything you'd like to hear.

Jack describes his system: "...my DIY Pass Class-A Amplifiers, including F5, F4; my version of Stu Yaniger's Balanced Tube "Impasse" Preamp, a stock and modified Adcom GFP-565 preamplifier. Sources will include my Sony XA5400ES player and a Linn LP-12, but I would welcome other programming material. Speakers will include the DIY Mass Loaded "Thor's", my Pioneer-TAD S3ex if I can find some incredible hulk to help me move them, and recently fitted out Fostex "Metronomes". I will put black electrical tape on the Pioneer logo so that the cognoscenti won't be offended. My tastes in music run to opera and choral music so I would encourage others to bring music for their ears. I could bring my Pioneer SX-1250 to demonstrate a truly offensive phono preamplifier."

Other members plan to bring their DIY creations to connect to Jack's system as well.

Also, we will have our annual swap meet. All are welcome to bring and offer for sale or trade electronic components, hifi gear, CDs, LPs, etc., anything audio-related.

Dues are $30.00/year, and guests are welcome to try out the NJAS by attending a meeting prior to becomming a member.

The meeting will be held on Sunday, October 24th, at 2:00 p.m., in the basement of Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 217 Prospect Street, South Orange, NJ (side entrance on 4th Street).

Please email or post any questions.
The NJ Audio Society will hold its annual picnic on Sunday, August 15th, 2010, at the home of member John Pluta. All are welcome. For more information, please send me a private message.
Rayr2: Our meeting this weekend (the 18th) is actually in Cinnaminson, pretty near you, at Audiogon member Slipknot's place. It will be an analog meeting, vinyl and some RTR as well. You might also consider joining the Philadelphia group, of which Slipknot is a member, as well, it's a good group and close by you.
Rayr2: If you are still interested, contact Rcprince, president of the NJAS.

I am in Flemington area but frequent Norther NJ (Clifton)

Thanks
Just an FYI - I was able to attend the NJAS Holiday meeting, and join. I had a wonderful time, and met some great people who share this hobby (sickness?). If you're in the area and have the time, it's a wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
I could tell you those, but then I'd have to kill you.

Actually, I don't remember them myself, that's why I suggest contacting me.
Hi Russ,

I got your email, thanks.

Just as a heads-up, the link you posted asks for an ID and Password.
The only change from what Rdean posted is the URL address, which has changed to http://njas.gngdiscoveries.com/. I'd suggest just contacting me, preferably at the Zaisgroup address above, for more information.

Rdean, while you're racing your Porsche, ever run into (not literally, of course) the head of my company (Christian Zugel)? And feel free to come back to the NJAS anytime!
I haven't been to a meeting in awhile - distracted by taking my Porsche to the track! But they're an active group. See info from newsletter below.

Our meetings are held on the 3rd Sunday afternoon of every month (with occasional exceptions), and meeting sites alternate between northern and south central New Jersey locations, usually at a member’s home. We encourage and welcome anyone interested in high performance LP and CD playback systems to join and participate through active membership. Annual dues are $30. Membership includes a subscription to The Source, the publication of the New Jersey Audio Society, and invitations to attend meetings as well as to communicate through the submission of material or letters for publication in the newsletter and participate in our newsgroup site on the web.

If you have any questions about membership, send an e-mail or call: Russ Prince, President, (973-743-5450, russ.prince@zaisgroup.com), or Jim Glynn, Treasurer (732-377-3773; jim@gngdiscoveries.com). For more information and to print an application form, go to: www.gngdiscoveries.com/njas/njas.htm.
