Minidsp connectivity issue

Hi,

I have a Bluesound Node digital s/pdif coax out to Flex digital s/pdif in, then coax digital output 1 from the Flex to a Denafrips Ares II dac coax input. The meters on the minidsp interface confirm the Flex is receiving the signal but the Denafrips is not seeing it. The input on the minidsp app is set to s/pdif and all outputs are turned on. Either the signal is not being sent out from the minidsp or the Denafrips is unable to decode it for some reason. Btw, the Flex has no analog output.
