Magnepan LRS with JC 1s

I'm using JC 1 monoblocks to drive my KEF LS50s.  I'd like to try Magnepan LRS. Reviews seem to suggest it might be a good match.  Is that true?  I augment the LS50s with a pair of KEF KC62 subs, and would use those with the LRS as well.

just heard from Magnepan, waiting list for LRS+ is currently 6 months...

I spoke to Magnepan yesterday...was told they would finish all orders for LRS before starting LRS+ production, saying 60 -90 days...I would guess depends on how many with LRS orders already in want to change to LRS+...they said they would not be making both at the same time...

there are two live threads on here right now about amps to drive smaller maggies

... and jc1's will do fine...

Consumer alert! The LRS has been superseded by the LRS Plus, about to start shipping. The Plus will be priced at $995 (I believe).

JC1s are a fine option. I can speak to another pairing when you grow into the 1.7s.

This amp, the EAR 868 and Mag 1.7s are indeed a beautiful thing to hear.

Get the 1.7s and start getting a big taste of what a Magnepan can do. Make sure you are willing and able to pull them out 4 or 5 feet, same for the LRS.

We are a parasound dealer they will drive them perfectly
