I mounted LRS+s flush so they stand straight up. And yes the optional are superior to the stock ones. The added distance off the floor improves soundstage.
Magnepan optional speaker stands
Those that have them, are you mounting them flush (vertical), or using the optional tilt method (inserting spacing washers on the bottom screws)? I'm asking because tilting them seems flimsy compared to mounting them flush. The reason for me purchasing these was for something better than the stock stands. Mounted flush, these stands are far superior than the stock ones.
