Luxman L-509x --- Universal Remote Code

I have never used a Universal Remote, but I really don't want to wear out my nice, expensive Luxman remote. I did a little poking around and cannot find anything.

Anyone here have experience with this subject?

The Logitech Harmony database lists the Luxman L-509x as being compatible with their universal remotes. To make that work you buy one of their remotes, connect it to your computer, go to their database at the URL below, type in the brand and model number of your Luxman remote and download the codes to the remote. I've been happily using that database for years with a variety of brands, though not with Luxman. Here's the Harmon site,

Thank you for finding one! But it seems that those are about as expensive as my remote. Do you know of an option in the $50 range?

I doubt you'll find anything new that's less expensive. Branded remotes use a wide variety of codes so that they are unique to their products and their use doesn't overlap if you have multiple brands of components. The best alternative if price is an issue might be to buy a used Logitech remote on ebay.

Get a basic learning remote and you can just teach the new remote buttons with the Luxman remote.  I use a Sideclick because I also have a TV and Roku.

Get your lazy ass up and walk to feel the knobs and buttons that Luxman engineers have worked hard on to perfection. D

Honestly, it’s a remote. Use it. I do like the knob feel on the Luxman though so I do walk up to it.
