Lumin d3 vs hifi rose 130

Looking for a streamer. Has anyone compared the Lumin d3 vs the hifi Rose 130. How much better is one over the other.

I had a Cambridge CXN100 and exchanged it for an Aurender a1000. The CXN is supposed to be slightly better than the CVN v2. To my ears, the CXN100 is better than the Eversolo A6 I had before it, but the Aurender is quite a step up from the CXN. In the 1k price range, I'd definitely go for the CXN. If you are ok spending the money to go to a Lumin or Aurender, yes, I think you will hear a difference, but it won't be enormous. Think 10-15% better.

I too started with the CVN V2....the jump in everything when i moved on to the to the Lumin P1 was substantial and true to what i was told it would be but then also equally impressive was going from the Lumin P1 to the Rose 130 (fiber in) to the MMT.

Your CVN v2 will never be missed or thought of again if you move up the food chain.

I currently have the Cambridge cvn v2 , I was wondering if changing to any of the other streamer if the music would have more sound stage or more warmness compare to Cambridge and if it would be a big improve.

@ejlif Same here - couldn’t be happier after recently replacing my Lumin P1 with the Rose 130 and MM Tambaqui.

I own the hifi rose RS130 and I love it.  I can't say I've gone to great lengths to compare the sound vs the DCS Rossini, Grimm MU1 or Auralic G1 or Bluesound Node that I've owned as well as others but in use I have enjoyed it most.  It's built like a tank and has a huge screen that is nice and nice to have it right there see what is up and playing can even has touch controls right on the screen.  It never hiccups or acts glitchy, it's top notch product and I really enjoy it.

Would you say that the Lumin D3 would preform the same has the hifi rose 130 . My dac is a chord Dave and I have a m scaler .

I agree the Hi-rose streamers are great looking and i like that screen, so i dont always have to use a tablet/phone, but the cost is way over priced IMO for what you get.  Its a tablet in a fancy box.  But if the cost is not an issue for your budget then go for it.

Okay nice I do have a pretty good dac. I do like the screen on the hifi rose but not sure if that was worth the extra money for the streamer.

If your DAC is a good one probably little sounic differances. but the bigger question is which do you prefer the looks of and interface/App for. That in the end is the most important thing for long term enjoyment. once the DAC is sufficently good the streamer becomes less important from my experiance.
