Kent English

I just have to say that as an audiophile for over 40 years you have contact with multiple people in the industry.  There are few more pleasurable to deal with than Kent English at Pass Labs and Mark Hammitt with Reno HIFI.

Thank You for the shout out. It is imperative to post both positive and negative experiences when dealing with these Audio companies/manufacturers. Happy Listening!
Yes, I know Kent.   He is a champ and picks up the phone.  I doubt he is getting rich on this.
After dealing with Thiel, Pass, and PS Audio for my first three hi-fi purchases I thought stellar customer service was just part of the industry. Wow was I wrong.
As a recent new Pass owner I also can't say enough about either Kent or Mark. Dealt with them both and got answers (sometimes not the ones I had hoped for..) in short order. With guys like this still working in the business I wish both continued success. Still impressed with their insights and keeping me from spending more on additional gear that was not needed, and the sq of my current system bears this out.
Having interacted multiple times with both I must say they are a pleasure to deal with.
Harry at VPI, Richard at Vandersteen, Gary at Ayre all gave me superlative attention and support.

The Pass Labs team is still winning over customers.
I am old to audio, but new to Pass Labs.
I purchased a used xa30.8 recently from a fellow audiophile, and it wasn’t working right.
I reached out to Pass Labs. Desmond gave me some troubleshooting tips within a day of me writing, and when it needed more help I was given to Kent.
Kent has been an absolute gentlemen to work with as well.
Glad I sent it in as there were not only visible issues with the meter, but it also needed a couple of gain modules replaced/brought back to spec.
I deeply appreciate the availability of the team (including Anastasia).
I am really bowled over by the fact that not at one time did I feel like less of a customer because I was the 2nd owner and bought off the private, used market.
I am a convert!
Increasingly important to have such a wonderful experience in these crazy days!

…It doesn’t hurt that the gear sounds amazing!!

THANKS TO ALL THE Pass Labs team!

I've known Kent for a bit and he is truly one of the best, there just isn't a better all around great guy. He also does some VERY cool/intersting stuff in his off time. He is truly one of the greats!

I have communicated with Kent via phone and email. Also talked to him at the 2023  AXPONA show. Solid guy. Solid company. I’m pleased with my Pass Labs preamp and amp. Also, I’m glad I went with the Pass Labs sound. A home run for me with my gear.

Interesting note: I saw a Pass Laps ad that showed a unit in black. It looked cool. I thought that was a good move on their part to offer the option. While black is not for me, I see it a fit for those who have gone primarily black with their equipment. Just did not see that color on their website. So, I’m no sure what’s up about that. Branding issue? Testing the waters or was it a dream that I saw a black unit ad? Website design not current with the offering?

He is certainly rich in respect.

@goldenways  Pass has offered black as an option with an upcharge for a while now, they just don't advertise it. Their gear looks awesome in black too!
