I stream 24/7. Do you?
No. Why would I? Silence can be just as enjoyable. If you steam all the time, you kind of lose that appreciation for your system when you sit down for a real listen. As for leaving equipment on or off, I’m inconsistent.
Does Anyone Else Have a Very Slow Connection to Audiogon?
I just sent my response and immediately a pop ad comes up. I’m done for the day.
Does Anyone Else Have a Very Slow Connection to Audiogon?
Yes.  As for the pop up ads, there will be a point that their ads will back fire on them. I’ll only tolerate so much before I move on somewhere else. I’m sure I’m not alone that feels this way.
Batteries are Cheap, Backup power is expensive
Correction. 1st sentence should have included  "when the power goes out"
Batteries are Cheap, Backup power is expensive
For most home solar systems that are on the grid with no battery backup = zero power. The system shuts down automatically when power goes out. Power companies do not want their employees fried if there is solar power coming into their system.
Maybe someone can enlighten me.
We are all guest at the dinner table and the gracious host can remove us out any time. Currently if one brings up the word " tariffs" a food fight will break out within seconds. At that point, the host needs to step in immediately and send the who...
The Cable Company advice?
Word of caution with TCC. If you call in for a 1 meter cable such interconnect, you may get some hocus-pocus reason why you need longer cable. Go for it and it’s gotcha. You cannot return longer than 1 meter. They consider it custom. “Big print g...
just wanted to share my fix for making my speakers cat and grand kid proof!
Grandchild, dog and tennis balls come as a set. Bummer. I’d like to take the grills off. It’s a no go.
T + A streamers. I need help.
Hey folks, this thread’s not dead yet. I’m still working on it. All the comments have been super helpful. I’ll report back in once I’m settled in.
The Music Room
@bullot You’ve really got me interested. How “easy” is it to connect the dots on all the owners? Personally, I’v never registered my gear, new or used, with the manufacture. And I doubt the used gear I’ve purchased was registered every time it cha...
HiFi laundry
If you, no, when you decide to come back to the digital side of things it’s going to be expensive to back in the game. I’d say do not sell.
Praise for Dutch & Dutch
I’m glad you brought up Dutch & Dutch. Heard them at AXPONA 2023. They had a sparsely furnished room. Not a good room set up. Terrible. I do not think that’s what they wanted. When I heard them,  I was blown away how well they sounded. Super i...
??? Where Does "High End" Start ???
@devinplombier Let me know when you throw the NAD in the trash so I can dig it out. I’d own it with pride. Most American can not afford a NAD. I’d be grateful to own one. Can not figure out if your statement is a joke or just a bizarre comment.
Why don’t more members post their systems in their profile?
For me, prefer not to show people what I have. In general, it's not my nature. Not for fear that someone will connect the dots and come to my house. Also, I did not want to hear criticism of my setup. But..... I posted a question about something o...
Battery-Powered Audio System Buzzing?
Paul McGowan, PS Audio just came out with a YouTube video yesterday. Subject “Battery Powered Preamps”
