I'm assuming the ones you're looking at are 220vac? If they are not dual voltage, then you will most likely need a transformer.
KEF LS50W 2 - 110v vs 220v
Hey,
First time poster. I live in the US but am currently in the EU visiting family. Due to favorable exchange rates, I can get the KEFs at a significant discount to US retail, but am concerned about the 110v vs 220v power standards. Is there any risk buying an EU model and just replacing the power cords with a standard three-pronged US power cord or using a converter?
Thanks!
