Johnny Nash has passed away

"I Can See Clearly Now" was one of my favorite songs growing up.

Brings back many memories.

R.I.P. Johnny and thanks for the memories!

I remember putting on my headphones when that song was played on my home system and enjoying the synth and backup vocals in stereo, versus just FM in the car at the time- what a huge difference!

I can remember that song so well, it was my new girlfriend's favorite song, and we played it on each juke box as we partied across town.

He helped every one see a bright sun shiny day; may he RIP.

I liked "I Can See Clearly Now" enough to buy the Johnny Nash LP and see him when he came to L.A.
cleeds, my timing is a little off, thinking that song was earlier. In 72' I was a high school freshman, certainly in full swing FM (jazz, rock, even some classical) NYC area had it all. Thanks for the reality check. 😄👍

Growing up with top-40 am (only music source during that era) that was a well remembered and much liked song with me as well.
Wow, you were really missing out! Nash hit the charts with "I Can See Clearly Now" in 1972, when the progressive FM rock stations were in still in full swing. By ’72, AM Top 40 had already begun its sharp decline. Of course, if you weren't in the US, things might have been different for you.
Growing up with top-40 am (only music source during that era) that was a well remembered and much liked song with me as well. An appropriate song title for him now. Onward and upward. Thank you, Johnny. RIP
