@garebear - I too prefer the Jumper solution and others that investigated further came up with some interesting findings...
- The length of the jumpers should be at least 1/2 meter for best results
- Duelund cotton/oil wires provide a more rube-like sound
- Mundorf solid Silver/gold wires provide more details
I have no explanation for the first finding, so like so many other facets of this hobby it remans an enigma.
I currently use Duelund wire for my speaker cables, mainly because of the affordability aspect compared to Mundorf
Also, many people have found that connecting the cables as follows yield better perofrmance
1. the neutral of the speaker cable is attached to the LF terminal
2. the live of the speaker cable is attached to the HF
