In your opinion ;Does using jumper cables have negative effect on the overall sound ?

I have looked at the previous threads on this question and wanted to see if anyone had an updated take on my question. I have speakers that are bi-wire-able and currently have internally bi-wired speaker cables for them. I have an opportunity to improve on my speaker cables with a pair that are single wired so I would need to buy a set of matching jumpers. I cannot help but think that adding / using a pair of jumpers cables with the single wired cables will not be as good as bi-wired cables. I cannot change out the speaker cable and definitely could not afford a second run of the speakers cables I am looking at. Your thoughts and experience would be appreciated.

I have found that cables with matching jumper sounds better than internal bi-wire. Double run even better,  but then cost is an issue...

I have experienced exactly that with my NORDOST FREY shotgunned speaker cables with matched shotgunned jumpers. That setup array bested a plethora of biwired options in my system.

Same NORDOST guidance provided below

Two ways for me.  Either shotgun or bare wire threaded through both posts so the wire material remains the same.
@garebear - I too prefer the Jumper solution and others that investigated further came up with some interesting findings...
- The length of the jumpers should be at least 1/2 meter for best results
- Duelund cotton/oil wires provide a more rube-like sound
- Mundorf solid Silver/gold wires provide more details

I have no explanation for the first finding, so like so many other facets of this hobby it remans an enigma.

I currently use Duelund wire for my speaker cables, mainly because of the affordability aspect compared to Mundorf

Also, many people have found that connecting the cables as follows yield better perofrmance
1. the neutral of the speaker cable is attached to the LF terminal
2. the live of the speaker cable is attached to the  HF

Hope that helps.
