How to prevent visitors from touching your system

It’s amazing, no matter if it’s your friends or just anyone else walking into your listing room, what is the first thing that happens? They have to reach out and touch something. Like this is the first piece of real equipment they have ever seen. Has anyone else had this experience? What can be done to prevent this except posting signs or telling people every single time? Gets kinda frustrating.

Most of the folks I hangout with, have nice boats, cars, motorcycles ( common interests)  The few times friends have been in my listening room, all (so far) have shown respect for my gear. My wife won’t even touch anything, and I’ve offered to show her how everything works. She isn’t interested.

Interesting. I have never had to say a thing. No visitor has ever even reached out to touch anything. This could be either my system is intimidating (lots of boxes and knobs) or we have different kind of visitors or both.

I moved two years ago and don’t really have, nor expect to have friends.  One of my teenage girls is interested in my equipment and she is only interested in digital, so I educated her as to how everything works.

                                Find more considerate/intelligent friends.

I was thinking of the same thing sometimes. I thought about putting up a few of those posts with rope that they use like in car shows for people not to go past them and not touch the cars. Lol 😂
