How to copy a picture

It’s really stupid to have to host pictures on the web in order to post them. Who wants to do that s&*t?

Even as antiquated as Audio Asylum is, at least you can post a pic from your device.

1995 called and wants their technology back.

I use an iXpand flash drive.  It has lightning plug for iPad, usb 3.0 for computer so can transfer photos from iPad to computer.  If you have a computer.

These instructions presume everyone uses a desktop or a laptop.  Not me, I use my iPad.  I think this is the only forum where I can’t choose a photo from my Photo library.  Goodness, Audiogon, how about making it a lot easier!.

If the pic is on your iPad and you can do a split screen you could try "dragging" the pic to A’Gon’s system pics.

  +1 on the cat. Sadly my device is full of cat pics too. 

Take a picture on with your phone , send medium size it to yourself-open mail then open audiogon virtual systems-your profile -view profile-actions-edit-says choose a file( don't do anything )-then drag your photo from e-mail  

You can also simply copy/paste your pic from wherever it's hosted, on Windows at least.

It’s super simple. If the image you want is on a website, right click on it and then click open image in new tab.

The new tab will have a URL, copy and paste the URL after clicking the mountain icon in Audiogon.

Same with your email, right click the image and do the same.

If the image is on your computer upload it to your email account and do the same.

Besides taking the photo and editing (cropping), I count 12 steps needed to post that photo in this space. Sounds complicated, maybe, but much easier after you’ve figured it out and done a few. I use Postimages.org, a free app. Your photos are saved until you delete them so if you post album art you’ll have a record of your record 😁. I agree it’s unnecessarily complicated, no doubt Agon has a reason.

Just figured out how to add pics to listed system, but only have cat pics (no gear pics) and I don't even know how to use our new cameras, including the one in the iPod.

Add the pic from your computer to the space next to your moniker (I just added a pic of one of our cats - see).

Once done hold the "control" key down and click on the pic selecting "copy image address" and use that link to add it to a posting.

I could not figure out how to add pics to my listed system (this would be better), but maybe I missed something - not a computer guy.

I believe you have to post a picture on the internet first and then share the link.
