Help me with the next step after the Sony Hap 1zes…

Hello all, I don’t post often however it’s time get into the streaming end of the digital world. I have loved my Sony Hap for 8 years but time to move on. I would love recommendations that will not break the bank but still have the same sound quality. Thanks in advance.

If you want to go "budget" check out the WiiM Pro PLUS at $219 ($175 on sale on amazon) Simple setup, very friendly interface, most of the streaming services, and comes with a remote. The upgraded DAC in the PLUS model is very decent. Include connection to allow use of its internal DAC. Also has a ADC with RCA input. All in all a very Budget friendly unit to learn what you want/need in a streamer to make your future search for a higher end unit recommend by others on this forum. If you decide to upgrade, will provide you with a 2nd system or gift to relatives.

For me I am really enjoying using it and allows me to test out the available streaming services and learn what I like/need in system connections and upgrades.

Enjoy the music!!!!

I would start with an entry level audiophile product and if the streaming lifestyle really is for you, then upgrade if preferred.  Bluesound Node is the usually recommended entry point for balance of quality and affordability. If you decide that streaming isn’t for you , you haven’t spent the farm, and some people who could well afford better stay with it .

What is your current system, and the balance of your bank account? There is a place to put photos of your system and I’d your components. This would be really helpful, so we could be. Most of us have our systems shown so folks can tell where we are coming from.

For me, I would recommend an Aurender N20 and Audio Research Ref DAC 9. You will get really natural, detailed, sound, most likely competitive or better than other inputs on your system. More info on you and your system necessary for a better recommendation.
