Greg Timbers interview

I just found this from 2017. I know JBL doesn't get a lot of love here but some might find it interesting.

I misread the model numbers article. It was a surprise to me and I got too excited.

I would love a pair of those. But I have to tell you my Greg Timbers designed 45 year old 4311wxa have all the qualities you describe without a horn.

I don't think Greg Timbers designed the 4311's. See article below:

Mashif,

good to know. I have limited JBL experience, the only ones I have heard I bought blind, to say I was impressed would be an understatement.

I would love a pair of those. But I have to tell you my Greg Timbers designed 45 year old 4311wxa have all the qualities you describe without a horn. It’s Greg’s ears that give JBLs their sound. He knows what music should sound like.

A living legend. I own two speakers he has designed. I am mad at myself it took me so long to pay attention to his work.

here is another great interview.

Now that was was a nice article and interview on real enginering.  Greg is a legend, he spans the time from James B to modern day.

Well, shiver me, Timbers.

Sorry, I couldn't resist. Nice article.

All the best,
Nonoise
