Due to space and finance limitations, a Corelli is not possible.
I'm thinking of getting their Fuse Box Pro.
Is it better to install at the meter (where the power enters the house), or the fuse box in the hallway?
Corelli - really????

Akiko now offers the 'Minelli' passive power conditioner (Euro 895). https://www.akikoaudio.com/en/products/562-akiko-audio-power-conditioner-minelli-english |
Just a quick update... I recently added a DIY Harmonizer unit into my system to compliment the Corelli. WOW!!!... This thing doesn’t compliment it...it super charges it!!! Everything that I love about the Corelli has now been magnified/enhanced with the Harmonizer installed into the circuit breaker box...removing even more sonic congestion/noise from the musical fabric. The air, quietness, delicacy, articulation and overall presentation..including enhanced low level bass slam..can now let the music unfold/breath into a much more involving auditory delight...making for an even more refined and enjoyable listening experience. The separation of instruments/voices and the notes they create can be heard as never before..with more delicate details emerging with an involvement factor off the charts... I dare you to turn your system off..it won’t be easy !!! 8) Highly recommended to any Corelli owner who may demand the proverbial ’icing on the cake’ and the need to ’eat it too’. Delicious... |
Just recently purchased the Corelli.. and I might add.. with a bit of trepidation on my part. Well, long story short... this conditioner is absolutely a game changer in my system. What it brings to the table is nothing short of musical nirvana. I know my words my seem a bit overboard, but folks, what it does is just crazy good and something everyone should try to experience if the opportunity arises. I am using it plugged into my Shunyata Hydra 8..which is a passive unit..and the results are simply "superb"...I want to thank all the participants in this thread for their honest reviews of this music making machine... Hmm!!! I am now pondering if the addition of the Castello and/or the DIY Harmonizer unit could be a big plus in the musical checkbox column..making for the combination of a truly sota conditioning system... |
@sbayne Now that my T+A amp has nearly two weeks of break in time on it, I decided to move the Corelli back to the same duplex my active / power supply-conditioner is on. In this placement position, there is a greater (and positive) impact on overall system sound. It is ’back’ to the same position it was in with my previous passive power supply. In other words, an improvement over the ’daisy chain’ placement I had it in while the T+A was (is) breaking in. Once I have three weeks on the T+A I’ll start seriously evaluating the peripherals (like the Corelli) in my system and will post more at that time. |
Akiko has a NEW product, a passive grounding block called ’Castello’ https://www.akikoaudio.com/en/products/560-akiko-audio-ground-conditioner-castello-english |
Ozzy- I have a music rail and IQSE in my amp and use a IQSE in my music server. I also use Sonic Tonics which I believe to be crystal based. Since the CorelIi is active I’m guessing it might be the interaction with the MC-05s. I purchased a MC-05 which should be here Monday. I realize it won’t be like having 20 of them in my system like you do but now I really want to hear what happens. It does seem the effect is better the longer the Corelli is plugged in. I’ve been messing with different configurations with mine and normally let each change “cook” for awhile (couple hours) before listening too critically. I have found, like others have reported, the power cord used on the Corelli does make a difference. Getting a stale/dry/dead sound is really surprising. I thought you might say it made no difference in your system or made things too thick and syrupy. Thanks for your feedback. |
sbayne, Yes, both dedicated lines exhibited the dry/dead sound. I have double Furutech GTX NCF outlets on each dedicated line. The CPT 300 is plugged into one of those double duplex’s. The CPT 300 is used for my digital equipment and has a DIY power strip plugged into it which has no filtering other than the Bybee IQSE inside and it also contains Furutech GTX ncf outlets. I also tried the Corelli plugged directly into one of the wall double duplex’s thus bypassing the CPT. The analog line has a CPT 1800 plugged into one of the wall double duplex’s and I tried the Corelli plugged into that CPT unit and directly into the wall outlet. The HF MC-0.5’s are plugged into a different power strip that is plugged into the other duplex in the double duplex’s. Could it be that the Corelli needs more breakin time? I don’t know, most of you seem to be impressed right away. My guess it is probably just too much crystals from the Bybee and the Corelli that are interacting. ozzy |
Well I received the Corelli with its power cord and have now tried it in my digital dedicated line and also the analog line. First, I must mention the noise suppression items that I have already in place because I think its significant. I am using a Bybee AC Module Crystal, (10) HF MC-0.5's on each dedicated line. In addition to that I also have the Bybee IQSE's in each of my components and also in my DIY power strips. And each line is powered through CPT 1800/300 units. I mention all of this to put my review (opinion) in perspective. I have found that the Corelli does change the sound. The soundstage does indeed go back further. But... at the expense of the realism of the music. With the Corelli the music takes on sort of a fake sound. That is, full rounder music/notes are transformed to a stale sound. Now perhaps it needs more time to settle? But at this moment I can't see keeping this unit. And, at the price of $2200! Nice metal box though. I have read many of the on line glowing reviews and the high praise for the Corelli in this thread and I don't doubt that it works fine in many systems. So, it must be some interaction with the noise reduction devices that I have in my system. I suspect namely the Bybee units. I will let it play for a few more days before I send it back. My suggestion is to try this unit with your system before sinking $2200. ozzy |
Maybe. I think the MC-05 uses magnets and the Akiko products use crystals. I’m not sure anyone has actually compared the two in their systems and wrote about it. If so, I’ve missed it. I think the Akiko stuff is trying to clean-up EMI/RF. The AC Enhancer works only on the ground and the Corelli I understand works on the hot, neutral and ground so that’s why it’s active. The MC-05 uses magnets to manipulate the electrons in the electrical current. So, two different concepts. They may actually work well together.... |
uberwaltz- That’s what I’d like to know. I’ve been plugging in mc-0.5’s to my system as money permits and what it’s done for my two channel listening as well as the picture quality for my tv are pretty amazing and sound similar to what people here have described the corelli doing. But I’ve probably spent more than $2k on the mc-0.5’s to get where I’m at but it sounds like ozzy might be able to give some comparison if he does indeed get the corelli. -I'm sorry, I just noticed you were probably referring to the ac triple enhancer but I'm still interested in ozzy's opinion when the time comes on the corelli vs mc-0.5 |
Agreed. I don't think just having it in the room makes a difference especially with the crystals being inside that steel case. It needs to be plugged into the line where equipment is plugged in to. Also, like you indicate, Its not like an Acoustic Revive R888. The R888 generates a Schumann Resonance which is a different controversial audio topic. I've used crystals and Schumann generators in my system for years. |
It appears that the Corelli is nothing more than 3 tubes filled with crystals. Sort of like the SR equipment but without the outlets. I don’t see how just having it in the room could affect anything. That approach reminds me of the Acoustic Revive R888. I do intend to get one though because I am curious and such a sucker for new tweaks. ozzy |
Thanks @worldwidewholesales . You seemed so definitive in your response regarding using it on the front end line that I had to ask. As to physical placement of my Corelli in my system it doesn't seem to matter if I have it by other equipment or not. The effect doesn't change as long as I have it on the same line as the rest of my components. That's why I was surprised you told Ozzy it will affect all his dedicated lines. |
Hi sbayne, If you contact me at this email address, I would be happy to send you pics of my system; info@worldwidewholesales.com I tried my Corelli in several different locations and I very much prefer my Corelli on my rack with my other equipment. We also experimented with many different power cords and we found the power cord had a huge effect on the Corelli. This has been very consistent with many of my friends that own a Corelli. I can't speak for all my clients and stores as I do not actually know what end users are doing with their Corelli. It would be interesting to get other people's opinions on placement and power cord preference with their Corelli. In regard to the front end. If you don't have your front end right than it does not matter what you do further down the chain so I always start at the front end. We have found just plugging the Corelli in and having it in the same room as your system, helps bring a system to life and once you unplug it and take the Corelli to another room, the system loses some energy. Not sure exactly how it works but I will never take my Corelli out of my system.
Cheers, |
@worldwidewholesales - Don't mean to intrude with your conversation with Ozzy but your answer intrigues me. So use the Corelli on the line that the front end is on and it will affect all his other dedicated lines? I haven't seen this advice before. How did you determine to treat the front end line versus using it on a line that his preamp or amp are on, for instance? Also, its been recommended to try moving the Corelli as far away from components as possible. What's your findings in that regard? Thanks. |
Hi,
In response to your question Ozzy, the Corelli works best off a good passive strip with everything plugged into that passive strip and the Corelli plugged into the first outlet of the passive strip. But when this is not possible then use the Corelli with your front end and it will still affect all your dedicated lines. We have literally sold 100's of the Corelli and I have only seen 2 on the used market in the last year. The technology is very different but the most effective conditioning result we have heard and we have tested over 60 different conditioners. All the conditioning systems we tested from $24000 down had positive effects and negative effects but the Corelli only did positive things. I run one personally in my reference system and if you email me I will send you pics of my reference system. email; info@worldwidewholesales.com It is one of those things you put in your system and cannot take out and yes I know that sounds like sales. Cheers,
|
Ozzy - that's a tough question. Trying it on each of your dedicated lines and leaving it where it sounds best is the logical answer. Especially most people , if they are like me, if they have a dedicated line it feeds the entire system. The same is true if its plugged into a power conditioner that feeds the entire system. So, its very hard to say what component its improving the most. @worldwidewholesales or Jaguar Audio Design may be able to give you some better insight. |
@sbayne Great to hear! I may order their PC to free up one of my PCs. Recent changes on the power side of the system allowed me to test a different configuration for the Corelli. I finally used my top power cable since I have an extra one available due to replacing separates with an integrated amp. Not sure if it is the new config or the PC or a combination of both, but a noticeable improvement in the current setup. Once my components are settled and fully run in, I will be able to test placement and PC pairing impact properly and will report back. |
I re-read this discussion and comments from the distributor. I went ahead and got a Corelli. Glad I did! As people tried to tell me, multiple AC Enhancers on one line may be excellent but the Corelli by itself is even better. I’m using Akiko’s power cord. I tried a couple of other cords but the Akiko is the best. I’m using a E-Tuning Gold MK II with it which also makes an audible difference. It's on my system page if you care to see it. I put a DIY "tube light" on top of the Corelli to add a little "art" to the black box. ha,ha |
