I saw Klaus in operation a few years back at CAF. Didn't care for the style, YMMV. Prefer the mom 'n' pop vibe of AVA. Bought the M225's, and they're excellent.

They are both just bridged stereo amps, I wouldn’t do either. Only thing improved is wattage when you bridge a stereo amp, everything else take a hit, especially stability into low impedance speakers. Go with true monoblocks of something else. EG: used Parasound Halo JC1 monoblocks and they have high or low Class-A bias for serious or non serious listening. https://www.ebay.com/itm/274899124769?hash=item400143c221:g:YukAAOSwSJNhEiIC Cheers George |
https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://odysseyaudio.com/stratos-mo... @georgehifi, This is what I am referring to. If they are not true mono block amplifiers then again your point is well founded. Charles |
I had the Karthago and later Kismet monos. I bought the monos after I heard KEF driving their Muons at CAF with them. They are good sounding amps for the price and come with a 20 year warranty. Klaus’s systems generally sound excellent at audio shows. I still have his Kismet speakers. No experience with AVA. |
