C7 power cable for Blu-ray player?

I need to upgrade a power cable for my Onkyo BD-SP809 Blu-ray player, I still use the original throw-away cable, that's type C7, non-polarized. I don't want to spend more than $150 USD for Blu-ray player cable, hopefully even less if possible. The shorter, the better, around 1 meter or less if possible. And I must choose between those brands available to me.

Can I get a noticeable improvement in audio/video quality with $100-150 C7 power cable?
Do you have experience with C7 type of cable?
If your answer to both questions is YES, please recommend some.

Searching only among the brands and prices which I can get, I've found:

VooDoo Mojo

AudioQuest NRG-1 and NRG-1.5

Anyone familiar with these? AudioQuests got very positive comments on Audiogon. Any other?

THANKS!

The solution is easy: buy an Oppo (even a refurbished BDP-103) and then you can use a fancy power cord with the standard C13 connector if you want to upgrade. Spending nearly 50% the MSRP of an Onkyo Blu-ray player on a cable with a limited second-hand market doesn't seem like a good value to me.
Thank you very much for your help. I still haven't decided, I won't buy AudioQuest, so I'm thinking between Furutech, Shunyata, Nordost, VooDoo and Pangea.
I used to obsess about C7 power cables because the choice is not that large. I tried Furutech G-320, Audioquest NRG 1.5, Nordost Purple Flare plus a quite a few home brew designs.

Out of all my testing, I thought the Nordost Purple Flare was the best, followed by Audioquest NRG 1.5

After Nordost new Heimdall range came out, I splashed out on a Heimdall 2 C7 cable, and I thought it was worse than the 1/4 price Purple Flare. But I found that disconnecting the ground wire in the AC power connector end resolved this, and it became the best C7 cable i have.

Unlike the Purple Flare and NRG 1.5 which use a dedicated 2 core design, the Heimdall 2 C7 just uses the standard 3 core found in the rest of the range.

It seems the ground, if its connected at the power distribution end (but floating at the component end) acts as an antenna picking up noise and hash. It did for me. If you have this C7 I suggest disconnecting ground and see if it's any better.
I made one with Belden 19364, a Furutech FI-11M(G) Plug and a FI-8N (G) C7 IEC. Works great.

I've had the Audioquest and wasn't impressed, but it was okay.  I also had Cardas Twinlink at one point and it was okay as well.
Thank you all! Now I have the list to choose from:
- VooDoo Mojo
- AudioQuest NRG 1 and NRG 1.5
- Pangea Audio AC-14XL
- Shunyata Venom
- Nordost Purple Flare
- Furutech G-320Ag-18F8EU
I would like to read more about the AudioQuest pc.
Keep me posted and Happy Listening!
I have the Pangea and it is an upgrade to the stock cord. They come with a money back trial.
