The solution is easy: buy an Oppo (even a refurbished BDP-103) and then you can use a fancy power cord with the standard C13 connector if you want to upgrade. Spending nearly 50% the MSRP of an Onkyo Blu-ray player on a cable with a limited second-hand market doesn't seem like a good value to me.
C7 power cable for Blu-ray player?
I need to upgrade a power cable for my Onkyo BD-SP809 Blu-ray player, I still use the original throw-away cable, that's type C7, non-polarized. I don't want to spend more than $150 USD for Blu-ray player cable, hopefully even less if possible. The shorter, the better, around 1 meter or less if possible. And I must choose between those brands available to me.
Can I get a noticeable improvement in audio/video quality with $100-150 C7 power cable?
Do you have experience with C7 type of cable?
If your answer to both questions is YES, please recommend some.
