Hi ! I have bough bose speakers. the '' spécialist '' said they are amazing. I bought the 201 series 1   deception for me.

I bought the 501 I sold them after 1 week.

I bought the 601 serie I . ok lot of sound every where but I had better sound with my Kef 303 with the add of a sub woofer.

so I am thinking of solding them.

what you suggest for about 600$ in the used market ?

Have a close look at Totem. They are great... sound, natural an punchy, excellent fit and finish. I have a pair for my office. I love them.

There are some pretty decent Canadian companies offering speakers (ie: Paradigm) that you're likley to see a lot more of than most of us.  Energy, PSB, Axiom, CSS, Totem come to mind...

Thanks for the response.

I am in Québec Canada. Thats why you should see bad enflish from memmy preamp is a Mitsubishi and my amp is a Rotel

Where do you live? US? Where do you shop for your used speaker purchases? What are the other components in your system, source, amplification, etc.?

For $600, or less, you can buy some great sounding older speakers as long as you have amplification that is compatible.

You should be able to get around $300 for them, the Series 1 is pretty old now and you can buy series 3 for about 6-800, so you won't get $600 for a Series 1. The other issue is their size and weight, shipping them will cost a good $200 give or take. So your best bet is a local sale, use a local buy-sell website.

And yes, although Bose is not considered high-end, that's not what the OP is asking for help on. Hope this helps.

Bose has always been a marketing company claiming they sold high-end speakers but they sounding completely low end. They have given the high end a really bad name. Good luck selling them.
