No romance indeed being in the hotel where the Axpona is quite expensive.

@jayctoy Yeah, I know. In 2019, I stayed in the one a good walk/short cab ride away but it was a drag compared to being in the hotel. So I promised the next time, I’d stay in the mothership. Not to be, unfortunately thanks to Marriot greed.

If you are referring Axpona   2023 in Illinois? Plenty of hotel near the venue. Iam local so I know the area.Lots of good restaurant as well in that area.

Maybe I should Airbnb my house for $5000 per night

during Axpona.  Will consider Audio note gear in partial trade. Hope no one is offended that I didn’t run an official Audiigon advertisement for this!

I stayed at the Hyatt this year when I went and even used award points and it was fine. They even had the shuttle buses that take you to the event. I'm with you and usually like to stay at the show's Host hotel but these prices are just crazy!

Wow, that’s crazy. Luckily there are a number of much more affordable hotels in the vicinity and parking is ample at the convention center for those that visit during the day.
