Thanks
P.S
I typically like to go with Audioquest for everything, but, they don't make the above mentioned.
If you can find one, look for AQ NRG-X series PC. Otherwise Shunyata and Cullen makes very good C7 power cord. |
You could get this adapter, C7P, which is polarized. https://shunyata.com/products/power-cables/venom-line-power-cables/venom-v14-mini-poweradapters/

I guess the link on my original post is a bit misleading as the picture shows the right connector, but worded it wrong. The cable i need is the C7P (one square side, one circular side so the connector mates only in one direction). Audioquest for sure only seems to have the C7 (both sides rounded), not the C7P. Same thing with Cullen....C7 only. @skids Skids, thanks for the info on the Shunyata. It appears that i can request either C7, C7P or an adapter with them.

@deep_333 Ok. I understand. If you can't find one, I think you could use the audioquest one, you just need to establish controls to make sure it is plugged in properly polarized. Good luck, Jerry |
You already have one almost. If you want to reduce EMI and RFI pick up because what it is plugged into does not have a properly designed power supply and you think a band-aid will help some problem you imagine may be out there you can't define, just snap a 25 cent ferrite on it and give it about one twist per 2 inches. Both mods are actually sound engineering. Or you could cut the ends off, pay $9 each for a couple of plugs, and slip 29 cents worth of braid over it and it will look and perform just like the boutique ones so your friends will be impressed. The braid actually helps keep a twisted cord from kinking up. |
@tvrgeek I think you're on to something. YOU should sell these, you'll be a gazionaire.
