Art Pepper fans out there?

Yes Art Pepper is a great alt saxophone player. One of the greatest.

He recorded a big number of great records in 50x and beginning of 60x. Like

Art Pepper Meets the Rhythm Section, Art Pepper + Eleven, Gettin' Together, Smack Up,...

And in end of 70x beginning 80x after he got out of prison:

Straight Life, Winter Moon, Roadgame, Thursday Night at the Village Vanguard,...

Absolutely love Art Pepper. Another great recent release on the same label: 

Love the 1978? version of "Patricia" on Art Pepper Today with Cecil McBee, whose work during that period is amazing.

Great player. Unique in that he combined a West Coast style softer-edged tone with the swing feel of East Coast beboppers. Many great recordings including the ones mentioned. For something different try the recordings with the Stan Kenton Orchestra from the early 40’s to early 50’s with which he was the featured alto player.  He was 18 years old the first time he recorded with Kenton.

Love Art Pepper and Promises Kept is great it's one of my streaming favorites.

I enjoy A. Pepper very much but happen to prefer his earlier recordings.

The Art of Pepper" and "Meets the Rhythm Section" are my favorites. 

Art Pepper + Eleven K2 version is pretty scary.  Nice dynamics.

All the LPs recorded by Roy DuNan have great sound quality.
