Amplifiers

I am waiting on my AVA Fet Cfr tube preamp should be here next week.  Have 30 days to return it if not happy with it. I may upgrade my amps. Looking at the AVA 400r or the 600r maybe. Others I may look at is Rogue 180's used or Quicksilver mono 120's.  Has anyone compared the AVA amps to any of the others?

Adcom GFA 565 Musical Concepts mods (LX-elite Platinum) 
Bel canto 3 dac
Vandersteen 2ce ii

I was in the AVA room at last years RMAF and the sound was amazing.  I talked to Frank for quite a while and immensely enjoyed the sound in the room.

have not heard AVA
Rogue and Quicksilvers both work well w Vandersteen.....super excellent pairing IMO

might i also suggest Aesthetix and VTL, especially the Aesthetix for vise like control grip on the Vandersteen 2 bass coupler...

i take thjat back I think of AVA as just Van Alstine...

yes his amps are typically fantastic w Vandersteen and always, always a super good value.....

MrD yes that will be the plan after other upgrades. Then my goal it to keep moving up the Vandersteen line.
