The Martin Logan “hangover” is dissipating rapidly now. I am really growing into these 10t’s. Placement is very different now from the ML. LOVE the impact and sound pressure .

Ive already ordered a power cable... thanks for the advice! I have a 30amp circuit now.

Have your friend give you a good deal on a nice power cord for your new A21. Kimber PK10 Ascent or a previous Gold version sound great on the Parasound amps without breaking the bank. If you don’t have a dedicated circuit to your equipment that will make a nice improvement as well... or at least upgrade your receptacles to something like the Hubbell’s that albertporter sales here - Porter Port outlets if you are only using cheap spec grade builder receptacles.

Wish he was a friend of mine, I'd love a new A21. |
I have MUCH better placement now... HUGE difference. Manual Shmanual! Lol
Selling the ML’s this week to a gentleman in Charlotte. Sold at a VERY good price to move fast.
Now big boy power next! :) I have a friend in “the business” that is doing me a solid on the A21...very solid. I am fortunate and greatful. I had no idea how good the Parasound gear is. I do now. |
There's an MC7270 available for sale on this site- not mine and no association with the seller, around the same price as a new A21. Food for thought.... |
Don't be obsessed with set-up. They are good in medium sized rooms and muscle amps. |
I just put my MC7100 up for sale and with that sale I am ordering a Parasound A21. This little mac just can’t power these 10t’s.
|
If you want to stay with McIntosh, you could look for an MC2500 or even MC2300. |
Thanks for all the advice...

When the 10T was being made , Aerial recommended the big Classe and Theta amps |
Power is their friend fo sho... lol. I am looking into power. No budget at the moment. I have a 1967 DC300 I may try just for fun. 300+ watts at 4ohm. I cant afford Mac power at the moment and will search out something with power... a friend has a K-1 amp he loves and wants to sell. No experience with those. Has massive power and the damping factor is off the charts. |
Had a Audio Research 100.2 which is a fine SS amp but when I picked up a pair of Aerial 7Bs the 100 watt ARC just couldn’t do it. Went to a Pass X250 and works great. Takes a big amp to wake up Aerial’s. I don’t think 200 watts is really enough; 250 is really where it starts at least on the 7Bs. Enjoy your 10T’s. |
Got them set up... still positioning for soundstage and high end. It’s obvious I need more power. I have a MC7100... a major change from the Logans. I have had nothing but problems with the ML’s. Replaced ALL the drivers since buying them new. No more! I am looking for a better CD player... no records thank you. Lol |
Congratulations. There’s something special about the way large box speakers move the air and I’m about to make a similar leap from my MLs as well....almost pulled the trigger on a pair of model 6s that came up for sale locally but they’re gone in no time...The 10Ts are in a different league. Enjoy.

give Aerial a call to make sure your 10T's have all the updates...they were revised a few times but never officially labeled v2...I think the last update was a new tweeter which Aerial still sold a few years ago...great speakers |
Congrats on the 10t’s from a die-hard ADS fan.

"I unboxed the top cabinets... that box alone was about 80 lbs!" Yep, those head cabinets are cast from a stone-like stuff called Novalith. HEAVY! One thing I had to do to mine was replace the dual bananas that connect the tops to the bottom cabinets. The plugs lost their spring and would not fit snugly.
If you don't have the manual, I would suggest requesting a pdf copy from Aerial Acoustics. It is pretty comprehensive. There's a lot of in-depth info about placement and important stuff like how to properly place the heads on the bottom. mkelly @aerialacoustics.com

I was looking for a pair of 1590's when my friend told me about the 10t's he had. I read a lot about the 10t's but didn't run across the fact these were born from the ADS family... big win on my part. I got these for less than some 1590's I saw. |
I can't wait... I have a mac pre and amp.. just two channel set up is all I want now. I have the metal stands also and I could use them as ballast! lol

I was a die-hard fan of Maggies for 3 decades. That was until I got my 10T's. They need some breathing room and careful placement, but you're in for a treat.
|
I've had mine for many years and they still make me smile. If you are considering amplification I can highly recommend Parasound JC1's.
Enjoy! |
Have fun! They are very good speakers. It will be an adjustment coming from the Martin Logans, but I think you'll appreciate the differences. |
