Yes! - to manufacturers continuing to have a say in this forum. They are also audiophiles with highly refined points of view. That knowledge is very useful.
Is there a 3g. anti-skate weight for Graham arms?
I have seen a professional setup of the 2.2 where the anti-skate weight was pushed all the way up to the collar (least force), and wondered why. So, I would be interested in this as well. Keep us informed.
What is the best Discman?
The Sony CD Walkman D-EJ100, under $40, and as very positively reviewed in Sterophile, is really quite good. I am using it with high quality earphones on airplanes when traveling.
Internet Radio
Yes, anyone with an interest in a particular genre can go there and get aquainted fast. If you are listening and dislike a specific artist, you can deselect them from the mix. Also, I have found a number of previously unknown artists that I enjoye...

Vandersteen 5a's
Richard Vandersteen told me the ones included are perfectly suitable. I tried 3 types of PCs on my subs anyway, and found no difference. My opinion is that the 5A power supply is very robust and very capable of handling heavy loads over sustained ...

Fishwater, I have a listening room over the garage and have put in two simple ways to reduce the amplitude of floor vibrations. First, lag bolt 2X6s across the joists down the middle of the floor. Second, put a single post in the middle of the flo...

Spikes versus Rubber on wood floor?
I had speakers with cones and down firing subs sitting on a suspended floor in a relatively new home. The floor has a resonant frequency of 34 hz, and I know because at that frequency the amplitude of the vibrations increases so much it shakes the...
Accurate vs Musical
Accuracy means the acoustic signal coming out of the speaker is as close as possible to the electrical signal coming in. No more, no less. Any thing described as musical means it is euphonic.
Phonostage Burn-in to keep unit sharp

Phonostage Burn-in to keep unit sharp
Dazzdax, yes you can damage the phono preamp with the normal CDP output!!! It can be avoided by using the Ganite Audo Phono Burn-In & RIAA Test CD (Model #CD-101.1). This CD is specially recorded with the RIAA Frequeny Curve at 4mv for playbac...
Vandersteen Quatro
The wood extension on the top was added for those who like the look, not because it improves the sound. It might help with the WAF... Personally, I like it without.
