What speaker cable made a major difference in the sound quality of your speakers??
I put together some .999 silver loudspeaker cables a few months ago using info from the website @rrwolfgram mentioned and couldn't be happier with the results. Total cost for an 8' pair was just shy of $200.
Surge protection for amps?
I've used Brick Wall products for years with no sonic degradation that I can detect. Here's a link to the one I use:https://www.brickwall.com/collections/surge-protectors-home-theater-hdtv/products/eight-outlet-audio-surge-protector
Dealers That Sell Large Volumes of Used Gear Online
I've had a couple of good experiences with Underwood Hifi as well. Wally was great to deal with.
Streaming Tidal - What hardware is out there beyond the Bluesound
Good question amritash and one I answered for myself a while back. I replaced my Mac mini with a Bluesound Node 2 and have been much happier without the endless round of updates served by Apple/Amarra/Audirvana/etc. The sound quality of the Node 2...
Wireless speakers for a second room?
The Audioengine W3 Wireless Audio Adapter might just fit the bill for you if used with active/powered speakers @meiatflask. I purchased version 1 of this gizmo years ago and it worked quite well.http://audioengineusa.com/Store/Wireless/W3-Wireless...
Exotic vocal - Male
Sivert Høyem (former front man for Madrugada) comes to mind. He has such a haunting voice. Love his latest album Lioness.

High quality Speaker switch box for multiple amps?
FWIW, I've had a standard Decware Zen Switchbox for a couple of years now and find it to be completely transparent when using it to add sources to my 1-input-only "integraged" amp(s).
I'll Take "Songs About People" for $200
Natalie Merchant’s "River" is about River Phoenix. His name is only in the song title however.
Wonderful Recordings at Blue Coast Records
Cookie Marenco of Blue Coast Records is well known and respected in the audiophile world so your post shouldn’t be suspect here. I’ve purchased several albums (Art Lande, Fiona Joy) from Blue Coast and the quality is superb, albeit a little pricey.
What are you listening to right now?
Cowboy Junkies: The Trinity Session
Optical Audio Outputs. Is there audible differences or are they all the same?
@mgreen27 .. apparently a moderator felt your post to be inappropriate for some reason. Interesting because I’ve seen worse here. Whatever.@randy-11 .. "unspeakable horror of actually listening to music"? Hahaha!
Optical Audio Outputs. Is there audible differences or are they all the same?
Hmmm .. @mgreen27's post was removed. Curious.
Optical Audio Outputs. Is there audible differences or are they all the same?
@mgreen27 .. despite your negative opinion of mansr, his post on that CA thread makes sense:Toslink has the advantage of providing complete electrical isolation. On the other hand, it is more prone to clock issues, mainly jitter. Which connection ...
Audioengine Bluetooth vrs. Bluesound node 2
Considering internet radio streams only .. not likely much improvement (if any) IMO. Tidal is another thing entirely.
