Audioengine Bluetooth vrs. Bluesound node 2 @yashu .. as always, it depends. If you only care about using the Node 2 as you would your Audioengine gizmo I wouldn't bother. The Node 2 can (and does) Bluetooth just fine and is a nice convenience but it's strength is with higher-resolution fil...
Evaluating a system - what do you listen for? The best is not to try and focus on any particular frequency or sounds at first. I am a mastering engineer, and the best technique I use is to almost not focus too much initially. It sounds counter intuitive, but this approach allows you to get an...
Bluesound Vault 2 or Node 2? @everest_audio .. thanks for the correction.
Bluesound Vault 2 or Node 2? There is no need for a hard wired connection to your router. In fact, the wifi connection is stable and robust and is the way I use my Node 2. Of course, a wired connection is an option if you choose. Best of luck.
Quick How to Stream MQA via Tidal to Bluesound Yes, and if you use analog out you will get the full "deblurring" magic of MQA up to and including 24/192.
Which is better Coax or Optical cables As @kijanki already pointed out, it's system dependent. One benefit of optical is the inherent electrical isolation. Lifatec makes excellent glass cables capable of handling 24/192 files.http://www.lifatec.com/toslink2.html
How good is Blue Sound Node 2 in WiFi vs Ethernet connection vs external CD player? @arafiq .. well, the Sonore microRendu has the computer audio geeks all gaga and is reported to be the "best" out there if you can live with the ethernet-input/USB-output. Wasn't a good option for me (I use wifi with the Node 2) and the price is h...

To reclock or not to reclock The iFi SPDIF iPurifier is your least expensive option and may be all you need to elevate the Sonos sound (should you decide to keep it). It sells for about $150.http://http//ifi-audio.com/portfolio-view/accessory-spdif-ipurifier/IMHO if you are o...
How good is Blue Sound Node 2 in WiFi vs Ethernet connection vs external CD player? @arafiq .. the Node 2 is more refined and nuanced with a better sound all around really. Apple TV’s resample everything to 16/48 which may be the reason they sound as though something is missing in comparison. Perfectly good for streaming Apple Mu...

How good is Blue Sound Node 2 in WiFi vs Ethernet connection vs external CD player? As @mahler123 stated .. the devil is in the details. I use the WIFI connection and find the sound quality is superb with Tidal and my own uncompressed FLAC library. Yes, I have a pretty robust internet connection and a good router. Rarely a hiccup...

Just wondering... Absolutely nothing. I wasn’t really looking to learn something either. FWIW, more often than not I read about all things audio for enjoyment. It's a hobby, no? Everything from music to different loudspeaker/amp/preamp/DAC designs interests me. I s...
Just wondering... @eis .. thanks for sharing. I actually enjoyed the article. His perspective is one I'm sure many can relate to (except maybe for the air conditioning thing). My "listening space" is my living room and while I live alone, I want my gear to work wit... |
