Audioquest or Kimber kable.
Bill Low personally recommended "33s" to me (for bi-wiring) at a local audio shop a couple of years ago, and I liked them...when I went back to single wire I switched back to a pair of Type 8s...Audio Advisor has been selling those for a while (I ...
Schiit Freya+ vs. high end (e.g., Mcintosh) ?
Hickamore...yeah the input stage, but I decided to use 4 matched GEs of the same vintage as they’re pretty cheap really. Maybe I got lucky but my original version Freya has never been noisy at all...tried various tubes and settled on NOS GEs...I h...
In the middle of a pandemic, Stereophile reviews ~ $30K equipment
The politicization of the Covid-19 pandemic is astonishing...right wing nonsense, a "dumb and dumber" presidential embarrassment, and whining about your rights (you have no "right" to harm others) when clearly staying safe by avoiding crowds and w...
Rectifier Hum
I forgot to follow up with the solution...the two subs had opposite grounding (one was lifted one not). Lifted the ground on the other sub and hum is now gone.
Good Tube Pre Amp under 2K
Schiit Freya +, inexpensive, balanced, lots of ins and outs, great sounding tube preamp with 3 remote switchable operating modes: Passive, FET buffered, and tube. Hard to beat for 900 bucks.
Upgrading from Sonus Farmer Venere 3.0
It was a fairly recent review of a Magico with a little interview attached.  I'll try to find it.

Klipsch Heresy IIIs, which many believe are the single greatest accomplishment in speaker technology except for maybe the new ported IV version, which could reduce my IIIs to a penultimate status although I haven't heard those...who knows...they m...

You left out an "as." And the answer is no...it was simply a factual statement that I now realize was sort of sad as you'd be required to use my ears on my head and that could prove to be difficult if not impossible.
Why are audiophiles perceived as being wackos?
Most of my friends don't care enough about my audio stuff to say I'm a "wacko." That would imply they're paying attention when I bore them with trying to play something for them to demonstrate how cool it is...never works...
Do we ask too much of our audio systems?
Every recording I own has its own sound, and I don’t mind one bit. As somebody once said, "If it’s good, it’s good." That might have been said more than once...not sure...as Bob Dylan says at the end of his shows, "get me outta here." I always won...

My speakers are the best and you need to try them.
Unsure how to set levels to use tubes and power amp together
I owned a Parasound HCA 1000 for years (a great amp by the way) and found it sounded best  at the 100% level setting, which is what every other "non volume pot" power amp is by design.
Missing tube integrated for Klipsch Forte III?
58hz is where the Heresy IIIs drop out, although "lower mid bass" until that point is amazingly good. I have a couple of Stereophile test CDs that show these facts to be true...and 2 REL subs adjusted to around 58hz to take the baton, so to speak.
I have a weird buzz issue; can you help me solve the problem?
Simply listen to the Steely Dan song, "I'm through with Buzz" (Pretzel Logic). It likely won't help but could provide a brief distraction.
Tube Preamp with Solid State Amp?
The Schiit Freya preamp (now the Freya +) allows instant switching between tubes and 2 other modes so you can see what's what regarding the tubes, and the tubes sound snappier, more detailed, and provide what I take as a more accurate presentation...
